    So the pups are getting quite chunky now, very lively about the house, they are getting pretty good with the paper training and I have started to get them outside a bit more, their confidence is building all the time with the amount of handling they get and all of the different people we have around with their kids getting them well socialised, I've already found myself starting to think that they go in just over 3 weeks time, it's going to be really quiet and I'm not looking forward to it one bit!!! Trying to crack as much good food into them as possible... Lots of play

    We see loads on my permission, especially after a new moon following a drop in temperature theres a couple of places close by that shoot up to 100 in the day a few times a year, my first dog caught a couple on the lamp, I have caught a couple by hand on the lamp too, which is a bit fun, I don't ever manage to catch them if I'm lamping on my own but if its good and windy and someone else lamps them I can get the odd one or two!!! Saw it in an old poaching book had to give it a go!!!

    I have a heat lamp over pups box in the kennel for just incase it got cold, (like now) not over dogs bed as that is full of old duvet's etc, it's draft free and big enough for them to stretch out in, they are never cold out there really anyway as the freezer's etc. keep the shed warmer than outside. But most of the time the dogs are indoors too many dog thefts, stickers on gates and all of that kind of thing going on to chance losing them, not that anyone would want them for their working prowess but I couldn't handle losing one due some chancer passing by...

    My wife works for me! She does all my bookwork, VAT and payroll for my tin pot little plumbing business, she keeps house and takes care of the kids... I know I couldn't do all of what she does in one week, so I'm glad I'm at work all the time, though if I could be out with my dogs all day every day, I'd be happier still, my dogs would be better and I'd be a lot less stressed....

    Just to bore you a little more... I think I'm becoming a little obsessed with these little buggers!!! Obviously I still have the pups indoors after having somebody snooping around but they will be in and out a bit now so they get used to both situations, I think the wife is making the most of it before the inevitable move to the kennel happens!!! Bloody good job she has been so keen with them as work has just gone absolutely bonkers!!!

    All taken buddy as far as you can tell at this stage, just one bloke hasn't been in touch for a bit, but we'll see. I have 5 more back up homes for them so with any luck I'll be alright... The breeding is Ideations whippet over my 1st x beddy whippet.

So far we have a Nigel and a Tilly chosen, I can't think what I'm calling mine... F@cking Nigel, priceless name for mutt! I love it!!! Theres nothing wrong with Nigel, very good name I expect the new owners will be making plans for him . I'm expecting that with a name like Nigel it will be wearing a pink tutu by the time its old enough for its jabs.... Oh, wait.... Is your name not Sandy?...

    Little update for you's..... Pups are being well socialised!!! Eyes are open and they are just starting explore a little bit, their individual characters are starting to show a bit now, this next week will be fun as they start to get around a lot more... My youngest daughter is great with them, helping with the worming, cleaning and everything in-between, the whole family is really enjoying the whole experience so far, great little time wasters....

    My Uncle breeds and trains gun dogs and makes a good living from it, he nearly always trains the new owners too before letting the dogs go, sometimes it takes a couple of days more often than not a couple of weeks, he always keeps an eye on their progress too. There are plenty of people out there with money to buy a ready made dog, but not many of those people have the ability to take on a ready made dog, every dog is different and respond differently to different people.     Finding it astonishing how quickly the pups are growing so far, they are looking really well. They are back indoors now as I had someone sniffing around the house the other day. My wife bless her freaked! Escorted him off the property and saw him drive off in a white van, he said he was starting up business in the area selling food, didn't knock on anyone else's door and was dressed in realtree... Could be innocent and I hope it was. Willow is doing well, but is glad to go for short walks over the field to get moving...
