  1. I'd say it might be worth as much as 90-100 grand. The cost of land has sky rocketed over the last few years and is being used as an investment by some.
  2. Looks put on to me. Compare this to the murder of someone by using a gyro-copter and the guy walked off pretty much scot free....justice? What's weird (or maybe not weird) is living in a big town I never hear about or come across sabs or even sympathizers...you'd think there were loads in the towns and cities.
  3. My dad and his mum lived in the east end during this time. The Krays etc were just scarey people to most but at the same time they apparently left 'normal people' alone for the most of it according to what they said. Also not sure if you can say it's down to the gangsters or not but they also said there was virtually zero crime on the average person. You could leave your house open all day long and no one would steal your stuff. But even today most criminals don't sh*t on their own doorstep.
  4. I don't think Threshers eat seals. That's more the big sharks like makos and Whites. Threshers feed of shoals of fish like makeral.
  5. dont know how true it is, they reckon few great whites have been in these waters Make's perfect sense to me, they like cold water and eating seals. I'd imagine some would be living off the coast of Cornwall. My mum caught a blue shark on her honeymoon in southern england, a good size too. We also get Mako and Porbeagle amongst others. dont know how true it is, they reckon few great whites have been in these waters Make's perfect sense to me, they like cold water and eating seals. 8. Thank god there's someone else who does...I thought I was the only one. Don't believe in karma. Look at the people who have all the power/money. Hardly any of them a good people.
  9. Thresher sharks are common in the uk
  10. Now its out of the way you know how bad it is I had the same last year and it was horrendous. Never again. Worst thing was they didn't find anything that can be treated, just inflammation I didn't get knocked out either I don't respond well to it and usually gibber like the town drunk.
  11. Put dog food, pentrol and everything else down as a tax deductable expense...after all you need it all to earn that 20 quid. The tax man will be paying you to beat as well
  12. Are you supposed to stay off it or keep trying to walk ect? I had a shoulder op which was very painful and the physio even worse. Took a year to heal and a further year for the niggles to go, it's now 99% perfect.
  13. Search for rural business / farm morgages etc This is the kind of result you get http://www.ruralmortgages.co.uk/mortgages/
  14. You want a farm morgage surely rather than a house one? Have you looked for that?
  15. Shouldnt be buying from a supermarket anyway. They damage local businesses and screw over farmers.

  19. Changing jobs is scary when you have mortgage etc...at least that is how I always felt. I nearly changed when I was working in Libya but the fear of the unknown put me off...sounds dumb considering a year later I was made unemployed and was stuck in the country without a passport 9 days before the revolution. I got out just before it all kicked off. In hindsight it was a no brainer to change jobs but I always worried about changing and ending up worse off or out of work again. That is why in my industry at least they love married men...easy to scare in to working their fingers to the
  20. No mate, drilling and grouting mine workings.I'm a plant mechanic so will be maintaining the drilling rigs and associated plant Sounds interesting mate. I did a masters degree in mining geology and loved being down the mines in Cornwall but I never got a job in that industry as the metal prices was on it's arse when I graduated so I just took the first job I could get in the oil industry...fecking hate it. Sounds like you made the right choice hope it works out for you
  21. I've just been offered an Office job as opposed to the rotation I'm on. Working twice the time for 1/2 the cash..... Fancy being at home for the kids as they are at the stage of questioning why I have to go away, and it's not good. Like I said before, money's not everything but you can do very little without it! Time off is the BIG thing for me, This lets me take the kids to the school bus, collect them, and attend some of their activities.....which I couldn't do working 9-5 each day.... 20+ years at it tho.........It's hard to get away from it. Yeh its ironic that I had time
