  1. in the early days of the internet/facebook etc. you can kind of understand who people thought it was anonymous, or at least semi-anonymous and having the odd slip up. But how many times do people need to be raided or banged up as a direct result of facebook before these retards cotton on that it's no more anonymous than doing something in your front garden in view of all your neighbours. The police must be loving it, they can gather a lorry load of evidence without stepping foot out the door! But, IMO......let it carry on! it's just modern day natural selection, and while they're focusi
  2. I'm the same pal, if I go out for 2 or 3 hours and come home with a couple I'm happy with that. Same as you though, I've never known big bags, if you've had 30 or 40 in a session in the past and then go out and get 3 I can imagine it would be a bit crap. Better than being plonked in front of the telly though if you ask me, on really nice winters mornings I'm not arsed if I don't catch anything!
  3. probably slower, weaker and marder than a whippet I would guess, what's the point?
  4. might be worth starting off by showing him the ferret through the hutch bars just to check his reaction first? personally the first time I'd introduce an adult dog to a ferret I'd have the dog muzzled just in case. The other thing you've got to watch is the ferrets biting the dog, one of my ferrets nips the dog so she just gives that one a wide berth when ferreting. I'd also take the dog ferreting but leave the dog tied up a couple of times and just let him watch. That way he'll cotton on that you putting the ferrets down = rabbits bolting and will also cotton on that the ferrets are
  5. rather than ferreting loads of empty sets is it worth getting out there with a torch/lamp just before sunrise so you can see where they're heading? you'd look a bit odd without a dog but at least you might see a couple drop down into a warren or two so you know which ones to ferret? sods law that you'll see loads of squatters with not having a dog!
  6. I use a camera case aswell, ideal cos there's a bit of space for spare battery and a small screw driver
  7. were you having a bad day yesterday or what Ausnick? fookin hell! stick some vids up if you've got them, like mixedbag says, it's always nice to see dogs working abroad.
  8. I don't get it to be honest, you can fit a shed load of nets in a rucksack, ferrets in box, finder in pocket, spade in hand....how much more gear do you need?? or are you on about long netting?
  9. f**k me thats funny is now, wasn't then....trust me, I was still shaking my head to myself a good hour after I'd got home! some poor fookers were sat on a bench right next to us eating pasties from Greggs, weirdly they just carried on eating as if nothing had happened!! must have been Sun readers
  10. another time I was going away for Christmas and my mates parents kindly agreed to look after my mutt for me, after taking him there on Christmas eve and telling them how well behaved he was and how they wouldn't have any problems with him they took him in their living room and the first thing he did was take a piss up there Christmas tree, all over the presents and boxes of chocolates they had under the tree.
  11. not a hunting story but still makes me cringe to this day....I was taking my old mastiff out a few years back and took a short cut through the town centre, it was a Saturday afternoon so was proper busy. He must have been eating grass earlier and decided that the best time to take a dump would be slap bang in the middle of the pedestrianised high street, due to the fact he'd eaten half a ton of grass a shit that must have been about a foot long was dangling out of his arse and wouldn't come out, he was walking along in the dog pooing position with this massive turd hanging behind him. I coul
  12. can't the titles of the craigyboys auctions be changed to describe the item....I fancy bidding but it's a ball ache having to open up 5 pages of threads just to see what the item is

  13. Shit. I thought it would be a lot less hot than this. The place I regularly walk is actually only a small area. I have bumped into the owner now and again and know he doesn't mind people walking it, day or night. But I will get it confirmed with him in case of a situation like the above ^ It's driving me crazy not being able to get out with the dog legally. I was out of the UK for 8 years and permission in Spain and Ireland is never a problem. If there are any friendly and generous people out there ( ) with some permission that fancy helping out a lone hunter shoot me a pm. I drive

  17. ??? he might be 96 years old for all you know? Plus, you might have been doing it for years and years........badly! I don't give a monkeys how long you've been doing anything, you can always learn something off other people. You're a very blinkered and arrogant person if you think otherwise. Anyway, back to the original question, I used to give mine alpha years ago, but found it a ball ache trying to keep the weight off my hobs, so I switched to James Wellbeloved and had similar issues but not to the same extent.....and in both cases they were getting a very small amount. S
