  1. PM lab, he's ginger so he'll be grateful for any friends he can get
  2. I don't mind them too much...................however, nothing more annoying than when you're trying to be stealthy to see what you can come across and then all of a sudden 20 of them come trooping round the corner. I feel like popping a few of them off with my catty!!
  3. As already said ive caught a few this year which were just getting over it poor buggers. But lets be honest if the rabbits didn't have mixi killing a few every year we would soon get to the point where mixi could be introduced again ? doubt it with the amount of people that are out there lamping etc. now.

  5. I'm sure this has already been done to death on here but isn't it a crying shame the dirty perv didn't get dragged through it while he was still alive.....he honestly thought he was some sort of messiah, feckin freak!
  6. I didn't think rabbits recovered from mixi? I thought once they had it it's game over? No mate some rabbits can recover,,, they are usually left a bit lumpy and bumpy,,, in fact I always think it a shame when I catch such a rabbit,, would be far better left alive passing on its amunity . I always wonder though,,, if we didn't kill mixys ,, and preditors didn't kill them,,, how many more would get over it,,,,,, or in fact does the diesise actually kill that many,,, are the majority killed by preditors Didn't know that! Yeah I suppose rabbits have that many predators that whe

  14. I know it's early days but does he work cover? brambles etc?
  15. From what I can gather YOU just need to put the work in, forget about the breeding or what the other lad said, it's irrelevant. And getting angry, chasing the dog or trying to pounce on it isn't going to help one bit. Get a dead rabbit and an extending lead and work on getting him fetching it back to you, reward him with loads of fuss when he does it etc. It's going to take time but you're fighting a losing battle if you're chasing after him etc. Just accept the fact that over the next few weeks you're not going to be doing that much hunting, but once you've put the time in and got the dog
  16. never worked with defra , or the enviroment agency then put them on the general licence clued up arnt you I'm not quite sure what you're getting at there but if you're asking have I worked with those agencies, then the answer is yes, those and Natural England, week in week out, that's why I'm very familiar with what's required before they'll even consider granting licenses or consents . And to clarify my last sentence, that's just my own personal view - a simple and logical solution to a long running problem regarding a species which is currently afforded full legal protection

  18. Do they think that if a farmer has badgers on his land, and is worried about TB, he's just going to leave his rifle in the cabinet and sit there with his fingers crossed....because some pen pusher has bottled out of using his rubber stamp?? The funny (or rather not so funny) part about it is the most protected mammal in the country is all over the feckin place!!! surely you protect endangered species? isn't that the idea, or am I missing something????
