    went out for a good day today, i took loads of good pics but cant find the fecking lead so will have to do with 1 EOD went right up the tops, on the pit bike again, stopped off for our brunch/lunch in a little shooting hut with table and chairs, and had a chat with a couple of walkers...... i had a great starter of soup with a main course of blue wenslydale and home roasted ham with a desert course of rice crispy and mars bar cakes not bad for a days ferreting... we finished off with 11 for the day, all going through the mincer tomorrow morning for dog food.... we got 4 or 5 by bolt

    my 13 month old half cross bitch. like lifelong cumbrian, i would get a beddy grey if i ever got a cross like this again, as it would level out at big whippet size with the beddy attributes. she is a great ferreting dog i think, she is still young though so on the first warrens she is a bit excitable but soon settles down. she gets reasonable bags on the land above just bolted to her, no nets, and some of them are quite long chases, and she is only about beddy size but built like a pure whippet underneath that coat. she runs over some shitty ground and rocks i have been told would of injured o

    Not really.. Show breeding has only really gone daft since the end of the war, a lot of the fecked up breeds like the ones you've mentioned have been hundreds of years in the making.. 100 years of breeding and 1 rubbish mating can ruin any line of stock

    first nets i got were made out of sheet netting knitted onto a ring, i think they would of been 8oz if you can get that..... some of the best nets ive got i think dont know why everyone thinks they are shit

    id rather walk up there than stay down and have to spend all day netting up hedges, at least up there there isnt a blade of grass over an inch long, that the most cover we get no not getting shit for the ferrets brimmer, they have just been renamed jacker and jill im just and unfit b*****d and john had a belly full of beer the night before which didnt help.

    ye wont get a serious reply of them that have them mate to many folks are kennel blind the 1's i ran and ive seen a few run up in the peak district were shite they were the very reason i got them for the smaller fields when i used to lamp alot of hare's etc up there and they failed badly found alot better dogs for the job they just couldnt hack it when ye gave it them hard i am sure folks will disagree though i have no need for a massive dog, so wondered what these were like just out of interest. my dog which is half ped whippet runs over some shit, scree, rocks, etc. i would want it fo

    serious question: what are non ped whippets or whip x greys like on tough ground, im on about Dales type land with rocks, boulders, very steep, hard on feet i would expect etc. i dont care about opinions on stamina etc, but simply, could they manage a life on that type of land without serious injury? i know any dog is, but are these more prone, are they weaker due to just being bred for track?
