    I heard that what these actually did, to achieve the high shot count and consistency, was to turn down the muzzle velocity to around 7 or 8ft/lb, which is kind of crap for anything but target shooting, in my opinion.

    Realtree. Whats your opinion of it? Personally I dislike it; it looks good at distance but close up it just looks crap, I'm not a big fan of cammo in general but army style cammo is fine, but real tree however... By the way, just to clarify, this is not a dig at the company or anything, just my opinion of it.

    Because I would thoroughly enjoy having the use of a call box; my calling skills are pathetic as I have never been taught (and I can't whistle for s*** either ) and I can't afford one especially as there is a free one going on a forum that I frequent. Edit: Oh, oh, oh!! I forgot; I am only fourteen years old!!! Does that earn me extra brownie points? No chance.

    Buy a stirrup pump. They're cheaper. But will still set you back (I believe) about £70 odd quid.

    If you really desire taking a pigeon at 50 yards then still aim at the head, because as far as I see it if you hit it in the head it means a kill, hit it in the neck means a kill, if you miss it then oh well at least it isn't going to fly off with a lump of lead in its chest to die a slow and painful death later on. But if you can't get good enough accuracy for taking quarry at 50 yards then either don't take the shot or stalk closer until you're at a point where you know your accuracy is fine; if it flies off before you get there then what can you do? As Aaron said, "Quarry first!"

    I was just wondering what the rough price of renting a two or so acre field would be; there's a number of fields used solely for hay around here, and, providing that I could find a willing landowner, how much should it cost? I can't imagine that two or three acres of hay makes anyone much money, plus you have to spend a day cutting it etc ... So if I were to offer maintenance on the hedges, kill off the rabbit population and probably also increase the nutrition in the land, for three years renting the land ... Any advice would be great, ps I was thinking of using it to grow various ve

    GET your arse out of bed an hour earlier then. I live over 100 miles away and i've never waited to get in the gamefair in 10 years. I'm there around 7 am. I leave for the car park at around 5.30 then have something to eat and wait for the car park to almost empty then head for home.Never been caught in traffic.. Okay, I just assumed that it would be mayhem; I went to crufts two years ago, took two hours to get there, not bad, but then doing the final bit to the car park took another hour and a half.     Does anyone know if theres any parking half a mile or so from the fair so we can avoid the traffic? We're only staying one day and I don't fancy waiting to get into the car park for an hour. Thanks.

    I'm doing work experience next year but I've been looking into the Forestry Commission and some of the national trust sites. I don't know your area but there might be a good national trust site near you or a large forestry commission site; you never know .

    Sorry, I can't tell you what they are, however being on an evergreen makes me think that they're not edible. I have came across them before, unfortunately I can't remember for the life of me what the tree was called, but in my opinion, until someone more knowledgeable comes along, don't eat.

    I think it's the same everywhere :realmad: These t***s just don't have any respect for their surroundings, for the few bits of wooded area left in Britain. It really does piss me off.
