Sounds like someone needs to show you how to make a Molotov cocktail. But anyway, You didn't do anything illegal aside from the public place footpath thing above, but you needn't worry about being in trouble with the police about that as the whole 'what is a public place and what isn't' is so hazy that I seriously doubt they would bother trying to do anything regarding it. Also, I obviously don't know what sort of person the landowner is, but if he has had any trouble with that guy in the past he may be willing to help you as you do him a service for free and after all, sounds like thi

I hear hides are very effective and not hard to build a temporary one if your shooting ground is anywhere near any woodland.

Okay, I'm not a working dog man, but I can't see the point of using a dog in conjunction with an air rifle As said above, I understand that they could be used with a shotgun to flush and then retrieve, but with an air rifle the flushing is removed and as far as I see it, hunting with an air rifle is too slow a sport to require a retriever. Although I suppose 'hily's idea would work quite well, but overall I don't see the point.

is pheasant shooting with air rilfe legal
othickman replied to kev1986's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I don't actually know much about pheasants and the law, but I've been led to believe that they're still relatively scrawny just a week after release, you need to give them time to fatten up otherwise whats the point? Although I'm sure someone who knows a lot more about it than me will come along soon and help you out. -
Nice pics!! And if you don't mind me asking, I thought that salmon didn't eat during the runs? Or was the guy using a net?
-
I've got a few places liek that round here that I'm interested in doing the same, but they're definitely council owned, but some people I have talked to reckon there's no point asking as councils tend to be VERY H&S 'aware' (stupidly so) and so are probably more inclined to hire a professional than let someone else on. But anyway, first I would say make sure it's definetly council owned, then it would probably be a good idea to approach the local council before the county council (I don't know, but Watlington is a big enough place to probably have their own council for them and the sur

Do police need a reason to confiscate rifle?
othickman replied to LordGamebore's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I have been led to believe that they only need to suspect that it may be over to confiscate it. However as previously said they are unlikely to do so due to the extra hassle it would entail for them, but you never know, also I've heard that there have been very few, if any, prosecutions for an air rifle being over, mainly due to the police simply destroying the offending article and not bothering to bring the person through the courts. -
:D :clapper: Brilliant!

Good ol' british justice, eh? And they'll probably be out in half that. Hoo-f***ing-ray.

Y'know how txt spk is banned on the forum, I was just wondering if people wanted the same to happen to ALL CAPITALS. 'Cause I'm not sure about you guys, but I find it really annoying, I mean at least people can understand it but trying to read a large post of it (especially if it has no paragraphs) can get quite frustrating. Or am I just sensitive?

Meh. For all you pro BNP people I think you're kind of f***ed up. You all say that the audience were hand picked, that people on the panel EXCEPT good ol' Nick knew the questions, etc etc. But if our saviour-to-be had been on the ball and had been so brilliant that he'd won a large amount of votes from it then you guys wouldn't care; you'd of won!! But...you lost...no you didn't; it was fixed! It was fixed I tell you. Pitiful. And another thing; you all say that BNP are the way forward; the public are unhappy and Dick Griffin in his shinning armour wielding Excalibur above his hea

hey mate im not stupid. I knew exactly what he meant. I was trying to be a funny guy Zini Then you failed miserably.
-
Congrats mate! And Zini, I think Aaron meant it because it is a dove; very tasty and it's not like they're inedible nor an extremely bad pest, not round here at least.
-
Personally I wouldn't like if the BNP came into power, but I what I'm hoping for is that they get enough votes to really shake up the main parties; enough for them to realise that our country has become an international joke and that they ought to do something about it.
-
Right, I'm not gonna get into a BNP argument BUT what I take dislike to is the people who are against them going on Question Time. I mean, theres going to be a protest outside the BBC on thursday, a number of people have publicly 'condemned' the BBC for allowing him to appear, and why?? Surely if he's so wrong and such a t***, then the people who they put up there will be able to verbally rip him to shreds calmly and easily!! So...! And anyway, what's he going to gain from it other than the possibility of gaining a few more votes - oh! -, wait, nevermind that won't happen as after all they are

I'm planning on making a knife (or rather the sheath and handle) but I need to know a few things; Where's the best place to get a blade? I don't really want a particularly expensive one as it'll probably turn out poor anyway, so less than a tenner. Secondly what do you use to fill up the void between the two halves of the handle? Third what do you get to pin the handle halves and blade together? I've got most of the material; I can get wood easily enough (I think), same goes for some leather, and I have all the things needed to make the handle, and I know enough to do it (again, I think) b

Okay, cheers I'll do that.

3. What if it mutated and hit the dog populous?

So my recently acquired permission is about 8 acres with an half hourly train on one side and a busy road on the other. So I've been down there three times; first time was about 5 o' clock in the afternoon, not really a rabbit time of day I know, but my shooting isn't up to hunting standards yet. I saw no rabbits. Second time was 7 in the evening, a lone rabbit. Third was Half seven in the morning (sunrise), again a single rabbit. Now this place is an active football ground (about 6 - 9 every weekday evening and pretty much all sunlight hours on a weekend), and also a number of foxes in th
