  8. Couldn't agree more ..these tossers just spoil genuine peoples threads,£250 isn't a weeks wage for most i'd say so if you won't or can't keep off the drink for one week of the year you fuckers don't deserve ANY dog if your not prepared to spend a weeks wage on a dog which hopefully will give you years of enjoyment ..perhaps it's about time the site thought about even having a for sale section because every time i have a gander here it's the same old same old bullshit? All the best PP.
  9. Come November time and with plenty of trips out you'll not even remember asking this question ,practice makes perfect..good luck but i'm sure it'll not be needed. All the best PP.

  13. I probably spoke too soon ..it's absolutely teeming down now ..oh and by the way i'm oop North .All the best PP.
  14. One of the most sensible posts i've came across on here for a while ..i can see your all chomping at the bit to get started but heed "slips" advice, the ground is extremely hard in most parts of the country and if your dog/s had to have their season curtailed at this stage of the year because of "eagerness" on your behalf then i'm sure you'd be one of those that wished they had and would be haunted by those two words "if only" ..tread carefully hunters .All the best PP.
  15. Thats shite. My bitch yapped when i got her around 12 months old. Easy slips on small easy catches is the way forward thats what sorted her.shes silent as a mouse now. I know who id be giving the lead shot to and it wouldnt be a dog Now that advice IS worth reading & taking onboard .All the best PP.
  16. ..It may well be a certain way but then again doing the same to you would stop you offering such "pathetic" advice ..i think the chap was looking for a little more than what your offering?
  17. Just seen it's your birthday matey ..have a great day..however old you may be? .All the best PP.
  18. Socks you should of just joined in with her and totally trashed it mate ,you know what they say "if you can't beat them, join them" .All the best PP.

You learn summat every day .All the best PP.
  20. Good luck with the competition ,from posts/topics i've came across on here there's a few trying their luck a second time but some of the more established ie:Woodga,Tomo etc: are missing this time around? Any reason for not having a go this time fellas? Should be entertaining and good crack to those who compete no matter what .All the best PP.
  21. As i said earlier i've done a bit of both, had a few different kinds of dogs over the years,1/2 x's,3/4 breds and just lurcher bitzas plus saluki x's and it is the latter i keep today ,now we can all praise or condemn SD for his taking of 17 hares on the lamp ,for what it's worth i think it's a great achievement, the dog may not of caught 4 or 5 in the day but then again how many of the day dogs that regularly do that feat could take 17 on the lamp? I'd hazard a guess and say not many if any at all? One man's meat is another man's poison...is it not? All the best PP.
  22. Wasn't trying to draw and argument SD just saying it as it is so to speak ,as i said i've done plenty of both and to me atleast it takes an exceptional dog to take 17 on the lamp or 3 or 4 in the day, both types get maximum respect from me .All the best PP.
  23. Daytime coursing is a totally different ball game to lamping ,i'm old enough to have done plenty of both, the hare is the supreme test in the day for a running dog ,on the lamp they are easier but not all are EASY,only a fool or someone lacking knowledge would say that in my humble opinion .To my knowledge catching 17 in the day has never been done with one dog,so that tells it's own story? No question though 17 is an outstanding catch on the lamp, has it been equalled..hell yeah it's even been beaten .All the best PP.
  24. Excellent post, one of the very best i've came across on any forum ,and well done FD for the hospitality given .All the best PP.
