    I think alot depends what exactly each one of us calls stamina-laden? Over the years i've seen coursing bred dogs run 6 mid-winter daytime hares,i have also witnessed a lurcher catch over 60 rabbits solo on the lamp running possibly times that night and even the "unforgiving" crime of seeing a dog catch 17 brown hares single handed on the lamp running atleast 21 if my memory serves me correct? Which of those dogs has the most stamina? All the best PP.

    I have heard on the dog grapevine about the Minshaw dogs,never seen one myself but do know one or two good honest friends who like HBG said that these dogs can put stuff in the gamebag? I am quite intrigued by the Husky x myself .All the best PP.

    thats what I dont like.. when people turn against fellow huntsmen for doing things differently... as long as the hare is given the upmost respect, not over hunted or killed during breeding season then good luck to you whatever method you use. I often follow the Newcastle beagles as well, great little hounds!! Well said ..the anti-hunt brigade would love to read the bickering between so called "pro hunters" on here,like was said does it really matter,however,with whatever and however many as long as we show the quarry the upmost respect?     I know not everyone works and those that do all don't get the same income but my tuppence worth on the matter is a fair price for a well bred pup would be a weeks wage..possibly £300-£400,some of the coursing bred dogs of this day & age are demanding phenomenal amounts of money even for "stud" purposes,a friend of mine enquired about a dog last year and it was £500 for use of the dog..if you paid that how could you gift them? Crazy world this dog game has become? All the best PP.

    Now then..these hares that are the true test in Dec/Jan would it be any different if i ran him in October? I'm talking of the "same" hare here,obviously if he was alive come Dec/Jan he'd of been kicking around in the months previous...the SAME hare surely would be no different in October as December would it not? Some would have you believe these hares grow like mushrooms in December and become instant super heroes? All the best PP.

    It truely amazes me the amount of times i've read about dogs being slated on here whether it be daytime or nighttime dogs ,there really are some jealous people in this dog game? No wonder we are in the shit we are with this hunting ban,the bickering twixt "our" own leaves plenty to be desired? I know of Tramp,he was a proper dog like many others before him,why the need to condemn him i just don't know? All the best PP.

    You can only catch whats there i suppose but like you say Tomo it'll be farcical should a dog go on and win the "comp" and be crowned best dog here if it has only caught a handful of bunnies? Abide by the rules ie:permission etc: BUT should there be more bunnies on your neighbouring farm get amongst them and show some balls ffs!! Was out t'other night and retrieved 7 foxes never mind 2 rabbits...would that make me a winner haha.Sorry but come on .All the best PP.

    Tremendous stamina but wouldn't be worth a shilling over here,it took it over a minute to even get anywhere near it's prey..definately needs some Greyhound or such like added to the mix imo? Billy the Kid,i agree it never slowed down once but neither did it quicken,no gears whatsoever..great for that desert land but like i said would certainly need the addition of Greyhound or such for over here?     Any heats of the competition been ran this past "black week"? Seems like some folk not in the comp have been out including myself having had an odd mooch ..the moon is currently 1/4 on the way back up so another 2/3 weeks until were into the next black week and it'll be mid October ..times pressing on and with the inevitable frosts appearance at some stage to halter things it could be a long drawn out affair? Good luck to each & everyone still in the running to win the comp.All the best PP.
