Yes,it's wrong what he done but feck me i'd like to bet most of you pissed more up against the wall over the weekend then the cost of the nets? Now,that doesn't make it right but obviously the lad has had plenty on his plate with more on his mind than a few nets? If your just gonna use any Greyhound for breeding then you might just as well say then that ANY Saluki,Collie,Bull,Whippet or whatever will also do? Bollox ,that's where i've being going wrong,should of went to the dog refuge and picked up a stray ,if your happy to have moderate dogs (like me) then YES any Greyhound will do but champions and their kin are what you want pups from that's if you want the very best Like catcher1 said,Greyhounds have more than enough fire in their belly,unlike most lurchers they will KILL anything so saying they ain't game is ludicrous imo.All the best PP.

To a certain degree anonymous but i'm yet to see a Beagle stand between 20 & 24 inch and weigh around 70lb and i'm not sure if hunting Boar is their strong point? and although they do hunt in packs i'm not sure if Stag hunting is of the norm for them. .All the best PP.

In reply to anonymous ,i get what your saying and personally it's not an obvious choice i'd be looking for if i wanted a lurcher BUT like in most crosses there will be good and bad in them,quite likely more bad but to dispel them ALL would be very naieve imo ,as for sticking to tried and tested crosses obviously around 35 years ago the lurcherfolk didn't mind "experimenting" a little,i'm talking about the introduction of APBT blood added into the lurcherworld ,a little of track but i'm sure the first to add APBT blood were often called (mad,idiots,foolish) but look where we are at now? A fox dog ain't the be all and end all to some of us major1 ,after all wouldn't you rather have a rabbit casserole for tea than a fox curry .The bitch suits Hannah's type of hunting & mooching so thats the main thing isn't it ,i quite like the phrase of "don't knock it until you've tried it" ,how many of you are just going on hearsay about this cross? They are not too common so imo i think one or two are talking on a subject they know knack all about? All the best PP.

Nice looking bitch you have there Hannah ,i'm quite taken aback by how racy she looks ,i bet she's real handy on the lamp for bunnies? I've only ever came across two Dalmation x's in the lurcherworld,one was just ok but the other was a grand type of dog for all aspects of lurcher work .All the best PP.

the other dog was a cracker in tip top condition but not to my standard of proper dogs,so shaddow what will these pups be like,i think its bad when a top bred coursing dog in the best hands cant beat a plastic bag dog and it was run in mid november shaddow i think thats winter Over the years i've come to the conclusion that "all that glitters isn't gold",everyone seems to have these so called "wonder dogs" and in the main from what i've personally witnessed there few and far between,either that or people are VERY easily pleased .All the best PP.

Yes Brookie i have done many times over many years ,as for the breeding of Snoopdog's dog i don't know that,i did see he said he had done it with his little lamp dog on the thread about a hundred rabbits or not being possible the other night,i don't know how to put one of them link things to it but i'm sure you'll be able to find it,as for the 10+ minute run by Rosco,all credit to the dog for hanging on in there i say,plenty would of chucked in the towel long before that .All the best PP.

I believe Snoopdog went there in January with a little lamping dog and took 4/5 so that blows that one out of the water me thinks? All the best PP.

Makes life far easier if they can do that,nothing worse than lifting them over every fence when you've got other gear like lamp/battery and a bag of bunnies on your back and if it's pissing down the dog will be soaked lol.All the best PP.

Jesus ,now i realise what people meant when they said people were afraid to post because of being attacked ,breeding off a 9 month old dog ain't the right thing to do,i'm sure the lads took that onboard but saying that i'd rather have a pup out of a well bred dog albeit untried youngster then a six year old rubbing rag that's caught a few poxy rabbits that ain't worth a shite ..jmo though.All the best PP.
