  1. Thats were im from.will they win shows.
  2. I would love one,but your a long way away.
  3. You would probably use 2 or 3 tanks a year depending how much heat you want, how much insulation in the house, probably none looking at it.Yes you can just use logs but you cannot beat a bit of coal.you might also make sure the boiler has been serviced recently(should be yearly). There would be to many things to consider to give a accurate amount of oil use.Every system is different. If you felt in a strong enough position to ask the owner to put in a condensing boiler,it would save a nice bit of oil per year, they run around 96% efficient
  4. If you think how some one gets there big name in the first place, writing a book maybe,or people working there dogs and them turning out decent. Its fair to say no matter how good the parents of pups they wont all make eye catching good workers.lets say 2 pups out of a litter, the rest being average. With the odd very good or very bad litter in between. Then its about numbers. The more you breed the more good ones you will have. Then the viscous circle starts, because the bigger your name the more people want your breeding.
  5. I`ve been breeding lurchers over 30 years, I got so fed-up with all the travellers after pups, I just stoped and started looking for something to put my blood line into with good looks so I could keep breeding and sell to joe blobs, which i did at £475 each pup for the last 6 years. I think the time is right to start selling back in the T.C.W. at a lurchermans price of Dogs 200 bitches 250. I think your a dreamer and a show man,who thinks hes going to fool some working dog men,and make your self a few pounds.good luck Working dogman dont make laugh, working dogman . ha ha you so funn

  7. Amazed that any one would want to see a "working terrier"excepted by the kc,The kiss of death.Would have to wonder how important the working side is for some.
  8. The way i got it was to be considerd attractive your face needs to be a mirror image, symmetrical,And if a young child was made to pick out a face from a bunch of photos they will pick one that is symmetrical.Nothing to do with dogs but interesting.
  9. Dogs dont like that, another is tall people.
  10. I remember starting out, knowing very little about hunting, but knew enough to know that some of the old lads giving me advice knew less than me,"You dont need to give ferrets water cause they suck the blood of there rabbits"any one heared that one :laugh:One person could learn more in a year than another could learn in a lifetime.
  11. Dont see the point my self,I wouldnt get my self shot over some one eles money. Its probally insured anyway.
  12. There seems to be a lot of huskieX malemuteX in wales, has it got cold there since i was there last
  13. Not in Scotland was it legal to take deer with dogs pre'05 Y.I.S Leeview Didn't know that, I wasn't 100% sure. My point was that deer have been hunted with dogs for hundreds of years as both sport & population control. All of a sudden according to the bullshit spouted by the press it only takes place with 'devil dogs' and a 'gangs of thugs'. Dont remember it ever being very accepted, but i know what your saying.
  14. My first two lurchers used to hunt a lot of foxs,Being a young lad with loads of time and energy used to be out all day every day,any way at some stage they learned that when magpies called it ment they had seen a fox,No matter how far away or how strong the scent the dogs were on at the time, they would run to the magpie.Never had a dog do it since.Still find it fasanating.
  15. If he`s happy and his dogs happy then he can hold his head up as far as im concered. As for Me is just reminds me why i left the crowds and went and worked my own dogs on my own,a long time ago,But then im a miserable bas***d!
  16. As already said a lot of dogs will open up,when running in woods.Iwould be very careful about the runs you give it though to start it of.
  17. I think a dogs a lot safer jumping wire than trying to run through it.Its dam frustating seeing a dog running up and down sheep wire ,while you watch the quarry disapearing into the distance .If you have a lot of wire a dog that jumps it confidently, will get hurt less than one that trys to scramble over or through.Jump or not jump a dog might or might not get hurt thats the way it go`s.Your choice.
  18. Theres a big differance between control and sport,When i see the word"sport"regarding cubs and any other animal that is not ats its sharpist either through not being old enough to be aware of its surroundings, being fat ect ect.I will disagree!
  19. Do you call shooting very young cubs, playing on a earth sport?
  20. I think farmers should take down all there fences,so we can hunt over there land without hurting our selfs or our doggies.
  21. Hope these links work, i think the polar bear would still be kicking arse http://hoaxblog.s3.a...s.com/dogs1.jpg http://hoaxblog.s3.a...s.com/dogs4.jpg http://www.museumofh...ments/3952/P20/ Having read the link properly it appears that the dogs were shot and not killed by the bull, my mistake Polar bears the biggest land based carnivour,Seen them killing and pulling small whales out of the water on tv.Dont think your ten pits would last long.
