    I get what your saying,but a lurcher that is only shown or pet is still a lurcher,But a lad who works his dogs would always class it has second rate to his hard working mutts.

    The beauty of a lurcher to me is its,Fluidity,It is a customized dog.If you like a breed of dog for what ever reason,even if in its pure state it would not suit you or your hunting country .It can be breed in to your lurcher,to the desired %.That X might not suit any one eles but then all a lurcher has to do is please its owner.

    DO as above to remove skin from bone leave it inside out and put it in a sealed jar of methlated spirits for a week,one perfectly cured brush.

    Good thread Some nice dogs.Have a big regret of not going to see the Deerhounds coursing before the ban.IF Any one is working deerhounds,on good rough country,i would love a invite for next season.

    Yes same here ,Just dont get why if 2 dogs run together it makes them some how less of a dog,funny thing only ever heard it on here.

    The only dogs that could do that are the virtual dogs,The single handed ones on here that have never been bitten .But seriously surley all any dog can do is what you put in front of it,how many people can even say they lamp rabbits 3or 4 nights a week with one dog.

    Sorry to ask a stupid thing, but i gather then if a dog has taken more than its fare share of foxs single handed,but then its OWNER decides to run it doubled up for what ever reason,including PEST CONTROL. it is no longer a single handed dog. .Funny old game this VIRTUAL HUNTING.

    Yes a dog should be able to do it single handed,but if i got a call from a farmer saying lambs were being taken, and i had 2 lurchers why take 1 and risk it getting away,you wont call it again.Dont really get the snobbery on here,You would have to wonder how mutch some lads do on here.The only thing about doubled up is one might get worse punshiment than run on its own.

    well we've got an anti who shoots hounds, they'v double standards full stop.. Hes not anti fox hunt, he just wants hunts to pay him to cross his land. How ever john gormley,Do you think hes gone away scared,or has he gone away thinking if thats all they have this will be easy!?

    I would of thought it would be silly to use the same tatics,that didnt work in britain,despite them being able to bring much bigger numbers,Trying to win public opinion,even if you win that war,they wont care enough to make it there issue.There is no reasoning with a anti they dont want animals killed full stop. I would have thought the only way to stop politicans is to show them that your not going to roll over and play ball. If i was looking for a country to show how to make a point i would look at french,were people seem able to get laws changed or passed by showing people who THEY VOTED F
