  1. Very clean looking rabbits for saying there was 3 terriers and a running dog out,you must have them very well trained.
  2. Although it is possible to have a total tosser at the end of a lead of a good dog mate...not often..but it happens..atb stabba In my case its a tosser of a bloke, with a tosser of a dog.
  3. Yes i like the banter ,but what i was trying to say was,if you want to know if some ones genuine let there dog do the talking.

  6. You lot should try getting a hobby,a bit of hunting maybe.
  7. what a load of shite if theres any kids out there they'd do well not to listen to your shite, just cos youve had a bad experience, doesnt mean everyone will, jesus where do you go lamping lancashire cricket ground injuries are part and parcel of having a running dog,i slip my dogs on plough and never had any problems and my theory on this is because theyre fecking fit,so any kids out there dont listen to shite get your dog fit and do with it what your supposed to do with it....work it That about sums it up for me,A dog that is fit and worked hard, seems to get less injurys, how many times i
  8. thats the problem you cant get these dogs because they think your a messer went out last night one hare one rabbit and dog took a bite and pulled away first one its ever seen never mind it doesnt matter im happy just being out with my mate another geniune lurcher man the thing is how do you know if the dog is geniune if you cant get to see them like you say too many people breeding rubbish then bragging it up to make the sale i do like the sound of deer grey x collie grey good dogs awhile ago Yes its good if you have seen the bitch work, but i have done well just by answereing ads also,A f
  9. There are plenty of good dogs around, that are able to deal with what comes along. It just takes a bit of effort to find them, personally i would rather find a genuine hunting lad,who is breeding a litter from a bitch who has served him well, and who has found the best dog available,to replace the bitch.Than go looking for one of the legends. This site is a bit of fun, good for a bit of banter, but i feel sorry for beginers, who must feel there dogs are useless, because it cannot take 4 foxs every night,or five out of five hares, infact it probally couldnt even turn a fen hare, and if it hasnt got bull b
  10. . but most bites are around the muzzle or legs,no collars stop those. Totaly agree but when you get a good size quarry that is fighting for its life and your dog is grafting its better the collars get bit than the throut, and if your dog is from the right stuff it should be lunging with its legs back like the fighting bull it came out of. Dont you think? atb X38 Dont know i dont keep bull blood, and rabbits and rats dont put up much of a fight really.
  11. but most bites are around the muzzle or legs,no collars stop those.
  12. I dont think it matters,if the collars of or on, but i do think that the width is important, why do you need a collar 3or4 inchs wide,it must restrict the movement in the neck.I have heard people say but my dog pulls, teach it not to!
  13. She might also start yapping,at the frustration of being beat to the catches, and it might not do her retreaving very good either. Why the rush.
  14. I reckon whilst breeding would have a huge effect on making them too fragile, show owners also seem to keep the animals penned up in a house all the time, in case it gets dirty or scratched, then the thing goes mental and sprints into the hoover Thats true too.Alot of showers keep many dogs, kept in travel crates.Whippets are not alowed to run as if they muscle up, it effects the way they move in the show ring, they are not allowed to get muddy as this ruins there coats.
  15. I have known a couple of kc "SHOWERS"Say they have had italian greyhounds, breaking legs jumping of the sofa,or running into the hoover.
  16. I'm looking for a bit of permission myself bit of day walking, plenty lamping, bit of shooting.must be over 1000acers,well stocked withrabbit, hare, deer, fox.Help me out you miserable bast***s.
  17. I would just go and spend a couple of quid on a good tablet or two,if i were you.
  18. how can anyone pick THE BEST 'WORKING' dog without seeing the said dog/bitch work?? This is the reason i wont judge a show.. some, although well marked up,mean nothing after TLC/a good lay up as we know. Well earth if its a lurcher class you take a glance at the person on the lead, the more camo clothing, the better the dog is at working. For terriers you need a perfectly striped dog,the owner should be wearing, fell boots the newer and shinyer the better, moleskin trousers, checked shirt, and of course a waistcoat.
  19. If any one took my dog into a ring, it defiantly wouldn't show, and would prob ally slip its collar to come back to me.I would also want to know how it got there in the first place, because i wouldnt have taken it.
  20. Good to see the russels still doing it,especially the ugly little fu****s with the queen ann legs.
