  1. I would put nose as important for me,speed and feet.
  2. its a saluki Ive owned a lot more than you over the years , I am retired and just getting back into it nothing brave about it if you think that post is brave you have a strange concept of brave. Im surprised you havnt got your own permission with people skills like that.
  3. I was looking into these myself, but decided against them,if there that hard to buy,how hard would it be to get one fixed if needed.
  4. I think if you have a lurcher that cannot catch a hare fair and square, then you wouldn't be doing your end of the partnership if you didn't do your bit to tip the balance in the dogs favor.Al tough i would draw the line at more than two dogs,or summer hunting. Then it would be up to the owner not to kill all he could find for the sake of it.
  5. Have you ever had one? I did and it was one of the best dogs I've ever had. It was not scared of anything and calm. Did great with the kids. In fact my cat had kittens and went out a window and couldn't get back in when I wasn't home. When I showed up the screen on one of the windows was busted in, my hybrid had jumped through the window because he heard the kittens crying. I walked in to see him laying with them trying to nurse off of him. Sounds aggressive to me. Think i saw him on t.v was his name the" littlest oboe"
  6. Good luck to ya,nice little thing.

Ian has many a ways of dealing with that . . .. PM him. I didn't know he works for a clinic... Its a "private" clinic. As long as he has big hands
  8. May be wouldnt try it myself,i have heard of a few all were nervous, and had nervous aggresion, plus as with all wild animals, there is a over welming desire not to get injured,a wild animal will die.Something that has been breed out of domestic dogs over 1000s of years.

  12. I can,t judge a dog that I,v not seen but any dog with the right training, after bonding with a human they trust, can be encouraged to attack and hold or kill if possible almost any animal found in the UK . I would,nt be to quick to blame the dog. Thats not true.

  14. Yes i agree, mine are only a run or two from being a hundred % thanks 2 being out with the terriers, that and the fact i was... em" snowed in last week" .A good few 6hour mooch`s.last week. There again im not afraid to let mine do abit,I just try to advoid any fast game.I find mine more than able to do a bit. When you think the ground was like a rock in september, and has been for two weeks now,the dogs have to do a bit.
