  1. Aye, it's almost as bad as killing tame park deer and getting all lurcher owners a bad name..... What was that quote again"The deer kicked me so i got in my car and ran over its head"Somthing like that any way.
  2. Seems wrong to be breeding pups and not even trying to do a bit with them, to me,There on the back foot from the start, even worse leaving pups 0f 3-6 months old rotting in a shed. I bred a litter i nearly lived with em and when i wasnt they had a radio playing. As said a working dog needs to be confident.
  3. Ive seen raised beds that were filled with crushed glass then thin layer of concrete,When you washed down in morning steam would come of,so must be warm.
  4. Personally, i think they are way too highly strung and would present a problem, unless someone knows what they are doing and can give them the work that they need, i think it would be very hit and miss.. I would not bother myself. Though I know where your coming from 246, most pastoral breeds come with those strings high, you only have to look at some of those un-worked neurotic Borders for that, its the drive and the 'capability' on top of that high strung nature that I feel would be a time bomb in the wrong hands and on Forums such as this, with the right (wrong) 'sell', those hands co
  5. ..have seen them in action myself, they need a LOT, of work to keep them quiet, work like this below, watch the whole clip and you will see what i mean.. LOL agile aint they, one thing having a dog that would bite someone that crossed your fence, another having a dog that would jump the house to bite them. dont look like the type of dogs to run half hearted. Imagine crossing one with a greyhound, you would have twice the speed coming at you.................. If ever a dog could deserve the tag "not for the faint hearted" it could be that

  7. Interesting x but you would have to do your home work first,a dog that is dog aggressive or worse still people is a liabilty as far as im concerened.. The ones on done deal are bull x i think that could end in
  8. Nice looking animals, but every one that has one says there a handful.... The thing i like most about lurchers is there ability to turn of curl up by the fire in a sunny spot, wouldnt fancy a hyper active lurcher.
  9. You cannot train a dog to take what it dosnt want to take simple as. In my expierance GOOD pet homes where a dog will be kept active are few and far bettween, even when you find them a skinny mongral with great big long legs are normally way down the list.
  10. spot on what you said mate Kind of any way, there would be plenty other breeds capable of a days work of some sort. but any dog capable of getting its ticket,is way to valuable to be out running rabbits ect, koreans ,americans,or just breeding=money.
  11. Didn't couldn't watch it,grew up around kc show dogs.. Some of the strangest cruelest people i ever did meet... Dogs that live in crates, and i mean live in em..whippets that ain't allowed very much exercise because muscle ruins there gait, mud balds there skin. I would much rather come back as a hare or fox than one of them CRUFTS dogs..
  12. Any chance theres a bit of harrier in a couple of those?

  15. All that money yet those little disks would still fly circles around them
  16. Who evers in these are the real superpowers
  17. Think eu were good to Ireland built a lot of motorways empty.. What dos amaze me is a nation that has had its troubles, lets government walk all over them, property tax you had to register government didn't have records of all the houses,if no one had paid there wouldn't have been much they could have done. retirement went from 65 to 70 nothing...
  18. you can buy a house with a acre or 2 considerably less in ireland... but go to a supermarket to buy say a pair of kids trousers Stirling price 4 euro 9,times that by everything... then most rural houses septic tank is a hole in the ground you empty once a year, under EU laws these will have to be modernized euro4000. government spent 50 million on consultants for water charges...while most rural houses have there own wells they could get around that because they still own the ground under 12 foot of your land do the maths carefully....
  19. was just thinking the same, ok the weathers is shit now but its the same everywhere, free health care, dole money,etc....... that's why nearly every fooker comes here lol, there lots of nice rural places ,and along the coast in the uk Go to a small town village in uk you can spend a day out there, clean well cared for lots to see,go to the same in ireland you will have seen it all in half hour. Free very cheap medicine(uk) will cost you a fourtune over there.
  20. Find a nice rural village in uk,you will have a better infrastructure, and your son will have better chances.
  21. Id of put mesh on inside to stop any chewing.
  22. Dont see how there can be any doubt who is stealing most the dogs... No point trying to think rationally about it,sure some might be stolen for a few quid, maybe breeding, but most are just becouse thats what they do, they see it they want it they take it.Get a few pats on the back.Try it have a story to tell,it then aint worth much, easy come easy go. Sad but true.
  23. Same as ideations first paragraph, aint good with people dont really like them, being out with dogs is my church. Know people who did well at school uni ect, have big well paid jobs see there wife and kids on a weekend, see the countryside on countryfile, big houses big cars 2 hoildays a year. I pity them tbh. keep hunting.
