  1. Do you have a local resident's association? If not, organise one and approach your local MP and media.
  2. Good luck with those pups. Sounds like they have the right ingredients.
  3. I don't understand, you got her after she just had a litter and now she had more puppies? I don't see how that was an accident? A back to back mating, this happens when a dog is given access to a bitch that has just given birth. Ashamed to say when i was young/stupid/ & knew nothing about whelping i rescued a JR terrier heavily in pup (working ratter/owner died), she was fine with having my male whipX around her pups so i left them together and it was soon obvious she was pregnant again When the first litter was something like 10 weeks old she gave birth to the 2nd litter. I fed
  4. Nice pup - good luck with it
  5. Good luck to you with the ferrets. Will you keep her on if she can't work with them?
  6. Aye mate i guess your right and all them whippets from MB etc are just pure shit and don't graft? Whereas all the whippets you see running about from her kennels are top workers? It's about the dogs, not the people. If it does the work it's supposed to and does it well, who gives a f**k who bred it??? Or what it's KC name prefix is? It's an old debate and it's boring, cos i've yet to see anyone hold up a whippet from mb and say it was a piece of shit. They only ever seem to chat on about the bloke. i have been coursing with her a few times and the proper lagunas were in a le
  7. Hope it turns out to be a smasher!
  8. Has that dog looked in the mirror yet? Does he know he is black too? Maybe he's in denial?
  9. Was there not a horse drowned at Appleby Fair a few years ago when the Travellers were doing their traditional bit in the river in front of an audience..........
  10. I thought a dog of mine was going to die in front of my eyes a couple of years ago after it stepped on a wasp. He went into a total collapse, very scary it was.
  11. [quoteIt is important not to rest the dog if the wound is still sucking in air, or the problem can spread. Once the wound has healed and can't suck in any more air, the body will absorb the air over a few days, or in very severe cases, a couple of weeks. So keep the dog quiet as movement will make the problem worse. Maybe I am not taking this bit in right - could you please confirm that you should keep exercising the dog whilst the wound is still sucking in air? Thanks
  12. Look at page 12 on here dated 8 May 2011 'air under skin' started by Moll.
  13. What a b*****d bird mabe a bigger stick next time, my son has been hunting a property near home of late where he was asked to remove the feral pigs that live there. So he has tried a couple of methods such as bow hunting and trapping before taking the dogs there to clean up the remaining pigs first time he has the dogs on the place a 2yr old colt came screaming up the paddock to try and kill his pigdogs the dogs managed to just get through the fence with the horse striking at their tails they then went back to his ute and sat on the back. We spend a lot of time stock proofing our dogs as we hu
  14. Personally speaking, and from experience, I may add, I would prefer NOT to run into this type of dangerous dog if it was rehomed to a well meaning menber of the public, perhaps not with the minerals to keep it SAFELY UNDER CONTROL. It has done it before, it must be in its nature, it obviously has not been rehabilitated adequately to make it safe to be out in public. I'd rather my dogs guts remained within my dogs. And before anyone jumps on the anti-BSL soapbox - I wouldnt care what sort of parentage it came from.
  15. Now what would you say is the difference in size between a cow and a horse that it's too big, 2"...4"...what's your cut of point for too big cows are pretty gormless, and don't have the speed and power of a horse. Don't get me wrong, if a cow wanted to I'm sure it could kill a man, but they don't, they just stand there and gorp at you. A horse is a lot more powerful, and bigger....I don't necessarily mean in height, I mean in power, build, weight etc.....a horse could really do you some serious damage! But they do.........
  16. Now that is a right wankerish statement,if ever there was one........oh but wait.....we are on THL
  17. Your dog appears broken or rough coated. Maybe her knuckle just'looks big' because the hair does not lie flat over the joint? I have a rough coated terrier whose legs look really deformed but it is the way her coat looks. Again with such a mix of types in her breeding and variation in the litter who knows? Good luck with her - she will be what she will be!
  18. your i nice a fella arnt ya I hate rescue centres, theres no excuse to allow any animal to have to go to one,the animals they claim to love would be in a far better way if they didn't exist imo. A'hare dog' is not the be all and end all to everybody. Some use dogs for more than coursing hares? So very, very true..................if only dreamers/peddlars would stop breeding them en masse..........searching for 'the next big thing' instead of working properly on what they have before calling an inexperienced, poorly trained pup a jacker.......pathetic really. how exact
  19. Nice........that lawn looks like a bowling green.
  20. I remember it being a popular place to go on the ferry for a holiday when I was a kid in the 70's......my family couldn't afford it though- that would have been classed as 'going abroad'.
  21. Nice pup, good luck with it. It's shameful the fatness of that lab though.

  23. It looks nice there. Happy celebrating! How many people live there and what about the industries and jobs at the minute? Would there be many people who have spent their whole lives there and not travelled to the mainlands or abroad much? I'd like to go there some day.
