All very well us sitting here saying they were just messing around and had no intention of a riot but the court made the decision and I'll back that as I dont know the facts like they do. I for one wanted to see heavy sentences being handed out and now we are getting them. To the two lads that have got 4 years, I say tough shit, your a prime example of our modern disrespectfull and dishonourable society. Perhaps 4 years is a bit heavy but I would rather see them do 4 years than 4 days of community service! Honest to god, I would have shot alot of the scallys crawling the streets last week! The

Shooting and lurcher work, compatible or not ???
Born Hunter replied to Casso's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I do both, but Im still learning both trades. Started with shooting but always had an interest in running dogs and when circumstances permitted I went down that route to. I would love a lurcher that is relatively steady and bidable to work as a rough shooting dog but without loosing that prey drive when used for more traditional lurcher work. Im not really a gundog type person but perhaps a lurcher of the right breeding would suit both jobs. Half cross colley grey or even lab grey perhaps. That said I think sticking with lurchers for lurcher work and gundogs for shooting is a better bet. -
Your not wrong MOO. My only concern with that is; how long untill they try to push even more restrictive legislation through? If things stay as they are now forever then we have won, but will that be the case? If we were to get a repeal then I believe future governments would be reluctant to try to pass anti hunting legislation again to avoid all the agro it causes. The only real loss with the ban has been the waterloo cup and suddenly making working dogs more attractive to the 'bad boys'. Im not sure what I think the best course of action would be....

They're on the radio too! East midlands trains or summat. If I saw a pastey faced prick with blonde windswept hair while driving and that advert came on I would be hard pressed not to run them down in a blind rage! I have to turn the radio off now, its a bit sad really, lol.

polecat ferret x wild polecat kits
Born Hunter replied to No1FerretKeeper's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Price should be the last of your concerns right now. I would hold them back untill at least 12 weeks for their benefit and so you can handle the shit out of them and make sure they are gonna make decent confident ferrets that dont try to bite everytime they are touched. If any are of particular concern I think you would be a c**t to pawn them off on someone unless they were 100% aware that the kit was proving difficult to 'tame'. And if any do mature to be b*****ds then do the responsible thing! Theres no reason to my mind that they should be any less manageable than a standard domestic fe -
I agree with you on an Animal basis, only the strong survive and that's how it should be, but on a human level it becomes a lot more complicated, because what makes someone strong? Hawkins certainly isn't an example of fine strapping man capable of bending a barrel full of horse shoes in one sitting is he lol, Yet his knowledge and brain power is invaluable to the human race. Strength comes in more than just a physical form when it comes to humans, that's why it's important that we have medicine and such like. I agree about the animals though . Im inclined to agree that medicine is

Thats impressive! Im hoping to cross my coyote bolting dalmation strain into my wolf killing lurcher strain. Seen here in action on a call out for a local farmer in the wilds of lincolnshire; Sorry, no photos of the dead beast, things got a bit scary and I ran off....
-
Take it on the chin mate, if you ask a question like that then you gotta expect some sarcasm. Some spaniels have been known to tackle a fox but it aint at all common or bred for.
-
Shit! Anybody gota game yorky to cross with this dalmation then? Or perhaps an owl? Heard they can do a billy! lol
-
Anybody know if I could dig a coyote with a dalmation?

In a situation like that its not really a choice, you have to do what you have to do. And if by moving I was reasonably sure my situation would stabalise for myself and most importantly my family then I would be away.

The only way I could leave it all behind was if I truly believed I was going to live the 'good life' where everyday I would get up and love life. Otherwise it just wouldnt be worth it.

Was there a prosecution then? no not yet he has a 3 day trial at the end of the month glasgow sheriff court. 29th, 30th, 31st aug. It would be interesting to know the outcome. All the best with the trial!

that's well wierd!!!!! you are an unusual man! what have you tried? I can't get my head around this post at all!! I hate talking to someone who's bladdered when I'm sober. thats pretty much the reaction I get, lol. Tried most drinks, all the usual largers, biters, traditional ales and cyders. Cyder and some ales arnt disgusting but not enjoyable, Ive turned many drinks offers down for a pint of tap water . I just cant stand em even them poncy fecking girly alcopops! And as for wine...... how the f**k anyone can drink any of that shit is beyond me. When I say t

Dont drink and never have. I tried plenty before but its all just absolutely vile. Ive never been able to drink enough to enjoy it so I gave up trying. I kinda wish I got into drinking because I feel Ive missed out on a bit of life but on the plus side Im probably healthier for it. I love having a crack with people that are drinking/pissed though. Most countrymen meet someone that doesnt drink with suspicion though (especially when introduced through a mutual freind that is known for liking their drink) so makes for some funny comments

Very sensible and intelligent post WILF. Perfect example of being a strong nationalist without having to resort to racism.

I would probably separate them. Ive seen such wounds before and they were a bit too nasty for my liking. The lad left the 2 brothers together and they were fine for the short while he had them but I wouldnt have. Its the main reason I dont like keeping many hobs, 2 would be the most I would need or want. Im surprised they are doing it so young though, it usually starts when they become sexually active.

These big dick big game hunters that look down on lads that predominantly ferret/lamp rabbits only do so because they think any dog can make the grade as a rabbiting dog. A proper rabbiting dog is one hell of an animal to watch work as is any other dog that is a master of its speacialty.

Out of this game- complete heartache
Born Hunter replied to deerhoundgreyhound's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Thats working dogs for ya, it wont happen to every dog but all things have to die eventually and sometimes the circumstances are not favourable. If you really loved working the dog then you wont be able to live your life without that buzz. In a month you will feel different, if not then stay away because your heart aint cut out for it pal. atb -
We just put a debris mesh roof on our pens stops all raptors !! Bit of cost but worth it Unrealistic on any decent pen. Licenses to control them at peak times is the only way. What do you consider a 'decent' pen? Im not being funny, I genuinely believe netting is very effective. Doesnt do shit for the birds outside the pen mind.

There would be alot more deaths of inocent people than there was, thats the point.
-
if the rioters were armed there would have been a shite load of deaths of both inocent and guilty! It would have been a f*****g blood bath!
