I bought my Beretta AL390 about 5 years ago second hand for £300 in pretty good nick. You should be able to get a 391 (it's younger sister) in very good condition for about £700.

We have trapped more magpies and crows this year than in any other year in our small shoots history. Keepers and other land owners just aren't hard at it like they should be around us. Plenty of 4x4 cowboys wanting to lamp a fox though! I can walk out my back door to a field within 5 mins of the house and count 10-20 magpies all together! The land is shot over ocassionally but not properly managed. There seems to be a lot of reasonably wealthy folks renting some land and chucking out a few hundred birds with no real interest in really managing the land. It's a great feeling doing the job the b

I tried to read it again, but my attention span is piss poor. It has been classified as worse than Chernobyl by the INES I believe yes but ffs there isn't a media black out and there isn't going to be a 'chain of events' to end the world. Do people really believe that it's only government authorities that monitor radiation levels and the climate? Do these people also believe that IF such a worldwide disaster was taking place these independant persons could not quite easily make everyone aware? I very much doubt she gives a shit about their poxy fecking medal now anyway. I would think it was the personal achievment that meant the most to her and raising awareness for the spinal research charity. It's still disgracefull that the marathon organisers have not recognised her achievement in some way, perhaps some sort of honourary medal/award for this type of thing?
