FAO cleanspade and others that asked kennels .....
Born Hunter replied to socks's topic in General Talk
That's a proper setup, kennels, game larder and log heated lodge...................... with a setup like that are we to call you Lord Socks now? -
Incinerate it.

FAO Midnight, finished key tang knives
Born Hunter replied to Tyla's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
They look smart fella, sorta thing I expect to see a mountain man pull out. LOL. Nice job! -
I wouldn't believe them either...................... because you have just made them up! Most hare shoots are only carried out on the Saturdays in February. It's basically a wind down after the shooting season for the beaters, keepers, farmers and few game shots that don't want the season to end. It's a job that arguably needs doing and is one of the perks for those that enjoy that sort of thing. Often the money from the game dealers is donated to a local charity and the day may be finished with a pigeon roost shoot. Not my thing but let's get the facts right eh. Lab, who th

The GWCT will probably have the statistics. No good us lot giving our opinion, it's hardly scientific. Besides, it all sort of assumes all dog lads are good boys and behave doesn't it?

Patent laws are a massive headache. We have to deal with them at work and interpretation is key to it all. From what I have learnt, don't worry too much about what you are doing, just make sure your lawyer is better than the persons trying to suit you for patent infringement!

Them compounds look the bollocks but get silly expensive! I was looking at one on the wall in the shop with a white marble pattern finnish........... £425........... I soon looked away. Haha.

That's a gorgeous bow! I was looking at a one piece recurve in KG archery yesterday but don't wanna be spending hundreds on my first bow. My mates make their own wood arrows, real nice but I think I'll just pay them to make mine. LOL. Paulus, bear ya arse at 30 yards and say that!

Cheers BBB, you sound experienced. At first I'll just be buggering about with home made targets in the field, we have little competitions between the three of us. Then maybe proper field archery. Been looking at some Samicks to.

Anybody on here flirt the odd arrow?................. Or know anything about it? I've got a few mates that mess about with various traditional bows and I'm looking to get my first bow now. I'm interested in a Ragim Impala 60" with 40lb draw at 28" three piece take down. Just for messing about doing field archery, nothing serious. Anybody give me any advice?

Pretty cool to see! I noticed it earlier when taking the mutts round the block. Then all sorts of thoughts started buzzing through my head, lol.

That would have looked the bollocks with proper galvanised panels and an exterior render. Top job even so. I'm gonna knock up some new kennels at my new house in the spring when I have a bit more time. Got two semi detatched brick outhouses, I intent to put a concrete base down and run bolted to the side of the outhouses and knock a dog hole through for a double bed box inside. Should be cheap enough and be last much longer than I will live here.

To my knowledge you only have to allow access to those that are referenced on the warrant. Why do we have agro with them?........... They are 99% antis that joined to try to end OUR chosen lifestyles, most of them despise what we are and do. They spread their propaganda and gather intelligence from other animal rights & extremist organisations to attack us. We're enemies, it's that simple.

It depends what you're wanting out of a days hunting, but as has already been said, getting out with a fell pack on a good bit with a few old veterans is hunting at it's purest! And collaring somebody with a quad you only met that day for a lift off the fell is f*****g soul saving at the end of the day, lol.

I didn't have time to attend a meet but drove through Car Colsten and caught the South Nott's just as they were heading off from the meet. Hell of a good turn out for them with cars and followers from the meet at the pub all the way to East Bridgeford! I image the Belvior had a good attendance in Grantham town as well, they usually do.

Socks, you're a man of real honour! I think that's clear to everyone. I only hope I would have the moral substance to do the same. This doesn't sound like the sorta woman that likes c**ts and a bit of a slapping. She sounds like she has been fecking tortured and mentally broken! I don't know you from Adam but the little impression I've built up of you from this site you're a man with skills and experiences that this fella really shouldn't wanna f**k with. I might be wrong but just a few things you have said etc. Well done and hopefully the poor woman will get the confidence to press ch

Bollocks to all this "I'm a proud hunting man and I'm not afraid to admit it!" lark! It DOES have an affect on your employability and in 99% of cases I would say that it has a negative affect. It's just not worth the risk IMO. Tell who ya like when you have a contract, but at the application/interview stage I don't feel there is much to be gained by anouncing your enjoyment of hunting.

Just keep on keeping on for me. Nothing exciting or disapointing that I know of really. Same shit different year.....

I can't write for shit but can somebody include that bloody Welsh Mod please! I was sure he was gonna get a mention when Skycat included a dead ram!

The super bug as there calling it in the north east
Born Hunter replied to j j m's topic in General Talk
Dunno about super bug but everybody down here has had a shitty sickness that seems to vary in affect. I've been off work for 3 days this week but only actually sick for about 9 hours. Couldn't eat for a day or so afterwards and felt shite. It's contageous as hell but doesn't sound as bad as you lot are getting! Though I am now being reminded that I may have said something about catching Ebola virus and asking to be shot............ -
Do the f*****g pens? What for? All the birds should be in cover by now!

its just drawing with a soldering iron onto wood mate cheers Well f**k me, I thought it was some sort of stamp like branding! You're talented! Infact, it's really suprised me how many talented folk there are on this forum.

That's awfully sporting of the chaps! But come'on, a decent poacher can't compete with a decent keeper for numbers. You're gonna have to be a bit sly somehow to win this........

TOUCHY SUBJECT-burglars+shotgun=life sentance?
Born Hunter replied to GEOFF.223's topic in General Talk
There's a hell of a lot of bollocks being talked on this thread. Warning shots and not having time to get the gun blah blah bullshit. As has been said the law is very clear and has been tested for those bothered to do a little bit of digging. It is perfectly legal to engage an intruder with whatever weapons you can arm yourself with. A man was woken by the sound of fumbling at his front door one night and believed he was being burgled, he grabbed a knife unlocked the door and stuck it in the lad killing him, only to find out it was a pissed relative trying to get into the wrong house!
