  1. You'll be buying your own Island if they find as much as some are quoting! All the best with that, I mean that. Were you with the task force in 82 if you don't mind me asking?
  2. To my knowledge though it's not been proven to be there yet, or at least not in the quantities being thrown about. The geologists say there could be X recoverable barrels there but geologists are often wrong. Is it Rock hopper that have managed to find a commercially viable reservoir? I hope there are Billions of barrels to be recovered but there are no garuntees as of yet?
  3. We have our own problems too. We have no driven large game hunting like you, all large game stalking is difficult to get into and it is illegal to hunt most thing with dogs................... can you beat that?
  4. Great way of hunting! I really envy you guys on the continent.
  5. In my experience you will rarely flush the same fox from the same place twice. Good holding spots will usually produce year after year but in any given season once you have put a fox out of a patch it usually decides to find somewhere else to lay up.
  6. I think Paulus still has a point though Malt, despite current treaties and legislation eventually other resources are gonna grow very thin (if you follow the text book science of hydrocarbon generation anyway). If we as a species don't develop and embrace new technologies and are still dependant on these resources then I can quite easily imagine further treaties being 're-jigged' to allow commercial exploitation of any potential Antarctic hydrocarbon and mineral reserves. This of course would make the Falklands strategically/logistically very valuable. I still don't think it is a large reason
  7. Paulus, do you think that that really is the fundamental reason for all this? I used to but not so sure now. All of these hydrocarbon reservoirs and mineral formations are only hypotheses at this time I'm led to believe, it's suspected that there could be vast amounts but not yet proven so I'm told. In my opinion, it's got little to do with money, the Argies genuinely believe the Islands are theirs and we stole them off of them. Argy politicians see It as their 'go to' when they need to drum up national moral. For us, it's a matter of principle, the Islanders are British by birth and choic
  8. That's truly incredible! I would be staggered walking around that. What a great life he must have lived.....
  9. With great f*****g difficulty! LOL. I'm not sure our current politicians would have the balls for it without a carrier strike group anyway. I don't know shit about this but I imagine if it did get that far and Cameron had the bollocks for it UAVs, special forces and Nuclear attack subs would be used to gather intelligence on the islands while a task force composed of heli carriers, destroyers, frigates, RMs and the 16th Air Assault Brigade would get over there. Guided missiles launched from the attack subs would attempt to take out key land targets (air fields, sensor systems etc) to get t
  10. British army is way more powerful that it was during the Falklands war. We've got better air power, Apache gunships, drones and an army with a lot more combat experience. The only thing we don't have right now is an aircraft carrier but I don't think that's as much a big deal this time round. Technically we have an aircraft carrier............ just not much of an offensive air arm! Or at least for the next few years. I'd add sub launched tomahawks to that list. They would be devastating! We still have a hell of a lot of clout! Also add to that the fact that British forces ha
  11. The British Military still punch well above their weight. I very much doubt the Argies would even consider another invasion. The islands are too heavily guarded. I read an article last week about the Argentine cammandos attempted attacks on other British territories durring the Falklands conflict. They wanted to attack Britain itself but considered it too difficult so instead got commandos with limpet mines to Spain with the intention to attack British ships off Gibraltar! The commandos were caught by Spanish police and allowed home after being treated incredibly well for terrorists. Spain
  12. Yet again they are moaning...... Our response (should be); http://www.fleetstreetfox.com/2013/01/dear-argentina.html and
  13. That sounds awfully like a conspiracy theory Paulus...........
  14. Be specific or tell me what I'm wrong about........
  15. Just because good arguably outweighs bad doesn't mean we should all forget the bad now does it. Just for arguments sake it could be argued Jimmy Saville did more good than bad................. All the charity work in the world won't counter sexually abusing children though. The media is a very powerful tool, they have the power to overthrow governments and start wars, but shirk any responsibility as to the consiquence of their lies and liberal use of the 'truth'. Put it this way if it wasnt for the sun you ,me and the world wouldnt even know about jimmy fcking saville In my

  17. That was f*****g hilarious! The daft twat is probably in charge of a machine gun an all! LOL
  18. Don't muddle culling with this! What happened here was an act of sick cruelty. Culling is very different and is a very standard practice with most stockmen.
  19. Anybody fancy telling them that you can perfectly legally buy the Accuracy International AW .338 lapua magnum long range rifle exactly the same sniper rifle used by the british armed forces..................... They'd have a f*****g field day with that one!
  20. They're just flat out wrong! But hey it's the Sun they are allowed a shovel full of artistic license. Assault rifles! FFS The semi auto 22s legal in the country are about as close to an assault rifle as a 12 bore is to a howitzer. They'll be telling us that one of their 'undercover investigators' bought second hand tomahawks at the fireworks counter in ASDA next.
  21. That bottom rabbit looks to have a bit of Myxi?
  22. I do pretty stupid stuff quite regularly, just common sense stupid stuff. Like while putting my fence up in strong wind back in October I rested a post up against the fence to carry on digging the next post hole and the fecking thing fell and hit me hard, I was horizontal in f*****g agony! The next day I was getting a bit carried away with a 5ft breaking bar on some concrete and smacked myself in the face with the end, again f*****g agony! Oh yeah, and also this........ not looking where I was going, obviously.
