What makes me feel better is the fact that most of the 'knackered old goats' you're on about were young and healthy once too and that you've got it all to come! Malt - 35 year old 'knackered goat' who is on the waitng list for double knee cartilage transplants! Never happen to me, I treat my body like a temple!

What do people use and do any stand out from the rest? I've been reading up on them just out of curiosity. Hibiscrub (Chlorhexidine) and TCP (Phenol) stand out as the best on paper in various dilutions dependant on the application. Simple and time honoured is good old saline with a couple drops of tea tree. Also Iodine, alcohol etc. What are you all using and for any particular reason?

This isn't advice so much as a question; Why can't they be driven very steadily to a waiting rifle? I would have thought they would present a good enough shot when in the open as long as the beaters ere quiet and slow.

A film that is about a British army outfit shooting werewolves is genius, but is it feck scarey! I liked the Grudge, good ending.

You're not on ya own there pal. Scare the shite outa me! And why the hell do women always want to watch them with ya! b*****ds just wanna laugh at me shitting it!

Well........ I'm young, fit and healthy if that makes any of you knackered old goats feel better?

They're forecasting pretty much constant snow for the east mids from friday evening to midday Sunday! Anywhere else expecting a good blast? I've found a couple of new earths that are holding so gonna be making the most of the weather!

Oh and well done!

f*****g hell, so it won't buff out then? These things happen, often on the back of a high to, let ya guard down with the excitement and bang some thing shite happens. Don't feel too bad, 90% of young drivers write a car off at some point. I did my first car, escort van, doing handbreak skids on an icey country lane with 5 foot ditches on each side...... you can guess the rest.

If the law was different I would love to see one run fox and roe/fallow daytime. I can't imagine a higher octane race than that!

Therapy! If that dog is standing there happy to get bitten!

Looks like it. A lot of grown men acting like school kids on there. He was a funny one, contributed fairly well to the site but had a real attitude about him at times.

Is it the one where the keeper has the russel stuck in the rocks and spends the night out with it? Catches two local lads with lurchers poaching and wants to fight them? It used to be on youtube.....

That doesn't look skinned to me. There's no visable muscles. It's a badger that seems to have lost all it's fur before decomposing......... That's not uncommon if found in running water. I have pulled the odd critter from rivers including a big fallow buck, the fur always falls out of them before rotting. -
Thats interesting actually because i would love to shoot a wild boar.......if i dont it wont bother me but for some reason i'd like too.... And thats really weird because rifle shooting bores me more than the shottie. The .222 only comes out the cupboard when a fox wanders onto the place.......but i really should get my finger out and put a couple of these Roe in the freezer... get a lurcher mate ffs, if you do ill even call you lurch-tastic........... Ive been over this a million times....ive no drive to head out wi the gun so i'm not walking about in the dark when i should be in my b

Unfortunately the post above is correct, a fox (or deer) could walk clean through the pattern of SG at 50 yards. These carts are awesomely devastating but you need to be real close! Not from my gun! They pattern pretty well through my beretta out to 50 yards, but the pattern does deteriorate rapidly after that point. A fair point you raised, but you assumed that I don't pattern test before I use on live quarry - a good idea for any shotgun user I reckon. Well, what you consider an acceptable pattern density for fox (even with SGs) and what I consider acceptable are obviously v

I wonder, for those of you that have lost your passion to shoot, is it just because you've got bored of what you do or have you actually lost the passion to pull the trigger full stop? Is there not a type of shooting you would like to do but not had the opportunity?

Got about 2" in South Nott's. If we get another couple in the week I'm having a day off for a bit of fun with the dogs/gun.

You are aware that lads no bigger than ya average joe take them aren't you? And they have no intention having big muscles or any insecurities! You can train for many different things, shear size is only one of them fella. You never tried to better yourself in anyway? Somebody trying to better their physical ability is no different to a student trying to better their knowledge. Bullied at school by the rugby team were you? So, what sort of uses are they? Are they scientifically proven to have any advantage over natural diet and exercise? I'm no sports scientist so bear with m

The whole package of the driven shoot I love! Standing on a peg though, nah not for me. The few times I've done it I've been stood there thinking 'bollocks to this, I'd rather be with the beaters and having the crack". It's about a lot more than shooting for me, if it was just about the shooting I very much doubt I would own shotguns. I do enjoy a rough shoot with the gun and terrier and try to make the time for a couple of mornings at that in the season. Also roost shooting come the new year and any decent squirrel days I can manage. Maybe I will develop a passion for serious game sho
