  1. Love ratting, bit of fear is great for the adrenaline rush! LOL No word of a lie, I leapt out of bed at 6am this morning having dreamt a rat was under the sheets. I'm sure seeing this thread put it in my subconscious!
  2. I'd feel really uncomfortable in the vicinity of that! I think it's even creepier than a live one... Quality work but gives me the shivers just looking at it.
  3. That's exactly the reason mate. But technically, under that condition, you would be breaking the conditions of your FAC if you decided to take your 'deer rifle' out specifically to shoot a fox during the day...... but it'd be okay to shoot that fox if you were waiting for a deer..... Why not just condition "no night shooting". That's not really my gripe though, just a peculiarity. My real gripe is individual forces making their own laws up, and nonsense ones at that like a 243 being unacceptable for foxing but a 22-250 being fine.
  4. Nott's are the same regards 243. They even verbally acknowledge that the Home Office consider it acceptable, but think they know best. Apparently it's safer to shoot a fox with a 22-250 than it is a 243...... safer to shoot a fox while 'in the pursuit of deer' with a 300 win mag than it is to shoot one when specifically out for fox and apparently it makes more sense to allow someone to keep two CF rifles (increasing the number of publicly held firearms) than it does to grant one for dual purpose..... Chief Officer of Police, the only job where intelligence is considered a hindrance to
  5. I think Sandy meant re-nationalise, possibly. Anyway, we all know how good the govt are at running industry........ Nationalising essential industry makes all the sense in the world on the face of it, unfortunately historically it hasn't quite worked out as well as it should.
  6. It was so much easier in the old days when a northern Baron would just raise an English army and quash rebellious Scotsmen like you Joe.
  7. I use that Kodiak for all that sort of stuff WILF, at a guess it does 500-1000 miles a year just general shoot work (the bulk of work is done with a Polaris Ranger). It's towing something more often than not, be that a trailer full of wheat or set of quad disks/roller. I'm not pretending to be an expert on them and Dan certainly puts quad after quad through it's paces, just speaking for the experience I have with that Kodiak.
  8. Now I find this really hard to believe... The Scottish are usually known for their hospitality and love of us English.
  9. Clearly Yamahas are dangerous!
  10. This Kodiak has taken a bit of hammer... As you can see, I know f**k all about quads but I do know to look forward when steering. LOL
  11. You have to see the positives out of all the shit life throws at you and sounds like a little good has come out of that terrible situation. No child should be without their mother but sounds like you're a cracking dad to the little man. I've seen too many men take the responsibility like a chore.
  12. Really sorry to hear that tb. The shit ruins lives.
  13. I was originally looking at a weatherby vanguard but thought I'd splash out a tad more for the tikka. If I could justify the expense I'd be buying a sako 85.
  14. New tikka t3, probably just the regular lite but gonna look at the hunter and stainless. Already got a 2nd hand Swaro 8x56. Not sure about the mod though.
  15. Lights off, curtains closed, evening at the gym and hose the egg and flour off the windows in the morning...
  16. Personally I think the reputation Heroin has terrifies most people. Being class-A doesn't keep recreational drug users/abusers off it, the terrifying side effects do. Just my take on it.... I'd be half inclined to give it to whoever wants it and make it the purest shit available. Let them kill themselves.
  17. My opinion is that the drug scene is part of life these days, everybody that goes out has access to cocaine, ketamine, M-Kat, pills etc. etc. Every school kid has access to weed/bud etc. It's so common it's sickening. The law has failed! Half the problem is the behavioural and biological effects of these drugs and half is the cultural and by that I mean the criminal world it creates. If drugs were legalised it'd go a long way to ending the criminal side of things.
  18. :D @ Dan The wording of the conditions seems a bit ambiguous. I'll let you have a look mate. Send me out with a map and a quad and you might never see me again! ha-ha. But yeah that sounds excellent! I'll get my shit sorted and be down for a Fri-Sat. See what some of these Dorset high-birds look like and hopefully grass something!
  19. It's a tactical withdrawal. LOL
  20. Makes sense. Legalise the lot. Prohibition doesn't work and never has. I hate the shit but it's reality imo.
  21. Yep, stalking. Indeed this weekend is going to be fun. Rifle shopping and a round of clays with a mate.
  22. Yep, supporting the Israeli Defence Force will certainly piss them off! LOL
