I f***ing despair. My country hates me.

Rangey little fella.

Found this quite an interesting little read. Bit of history etc and seems similar to what some of you guys do, more so than traditional English Beagling. https://www.outdoorlife.com/beagles-religion-and-rabbit-hunting-in-pennsylvania-hills

When my old lurcher was just a pup she would sometimes pass whole chicken wing bones too! I dunno what other more experienced folks opinion on chicken is but I'm not a big fan. Read a bit about the nutrient content of intensively farmed chickens and also it's general consistency and I now opt for either duck or beef with 50% tripe as a general base. I'm a big fan of tripe! I buy direct from Bulmers. 30lb of 50/50 minced duck (25% bone) & tripe is something like £15. Meaty bones are great for reasons beyond just nutrient content but I find them a pain in the arse so fed mini

I like it. Do you know what it weighs to give a rough idea of it's size?

I wouldn't worry about either. Your footwear is what gives you a good foundation in lifts for various reasons depending on the specific lift but I honestly wouldn't worry too much to begin with. It becomes quite significant with a sumo stance though, but I doubt you're doing that (feet spread wide, not shoulder width apart). Belt is for bracing your core against. You don't need a belt to brace your core. From memory I think these vids cover the basics fairly well. Probably contradict what I just said. LOL

Thought this was quite good.

Got to be honest I think the only bear hunt that would really interest me would be the spot and stalk spring bear hunts. But I think they're probably up there with that polar bear hunt price wise? Though chasing them about with hounds sounds great sport! Someone on here from the States said about hunting them in Maize fields and rocks which sounded exhilarating!!!!

If there was any justice the owner would be shot beside the animal. Run?... I’d have been hard pressed not to kill the dog with the nearest blunt instrument.

Gonna be good. I leave for NZ a fortnight today for three weeks so I'm thinking watch the first episode then stay away and binge the entire season when I get back. I'm a bit concerned of spoilers tbh. LOL

When I think of Old fashioned British culture still found in Urban areas it's the old mining towns etc that first come to mind. Not that I share much of their politics mind. Other than Euroscepticism!

Dunno how to define that really mate. I mean the highest densities of immigrants are in cities and cities generally wanted to stay in the EU. And that is a cultural difference, not just the fact the immigrants are voting in their interest. Young liberal minded folks live in cities and there's a lot of them. The countryside might be filling up with middle class professionals but it's also the last bastion of English/Old British culture. IMO rural England wants to protect that. I come from the strongest (at least one of the strongest depending on definition) Leave regions of the entire UK.

I'm not saying the working man from the towns do care about sovereignty. I mean they should because it's essentially what they want to achieve control of immigration, but you can't blame the rural vote for not getting behind you guys. The countryside voted in favour of Brexit, even though we don't have to live amongst large immigrant societies. The town vote though was for Remain. https://www.cla.org.uk/latest/lobbying/brexit-new-opportunities/brexit-news/eu-referendum-cla-analysis-rural-voting#

Although I think you have identified the significant factor that explains the difference in the reason for people voting leave, country/town divide. I think you're miles out in suggesting that folks in the country want free movement of people. IMO the country folk are on average more in favour of brexit than town folk (the folk that mix with the immigrants the most). I mix in two quite different social circles, young university educated professionals and then rural folk. The former tend to dislike almost everything that isn't in a concrete jungle and largely also voted to Remain. Converse

Very hot gas, plasma, dust etc. It's probably in the process of being sucked in. But currently is far enough away to be observable still. This is how astronomers measure distance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_distance_ladder

As a training aid, yeah brilliant. But in this situation just need to be careful the dog doesn't associate the punishing stimulus with other dogs. Could make things a whole lot worse. Just needs to be used appropriately.

You keep a lovey stamp of terrier. Consistently through this thread yours have been very smart animals.

Not a chance. LOL. Been here before on this site and still folks come out with the same old bollocks.

Now you've f***ing done it, mate!

That's so cool. Have you ever looked at the fossil record for Hominids the genus Homo? It's fecking tiny with entire species being defined by single bones. I genuinely believe that because of this we really know very little about our pre-history/evolution. I know, creationists and white supremacists will love that statement. But that's not what I mean!

Stuff like this is fundamentally why I am attracted to libertarianism, other than a strong belief in personal responsibility. The more shit you accept and ask for from government, the more they have you by the balls. It's so hard to argue against small encroachments on a case by case bases but they all add up over the years to one giant castration of the People's courage to oppose..... well frankly, totalitarianism. A couple hundred years ago stunts like this might have resulted in violent rebellion. These days we're too tied into the system to dare lash out.

In other Nerd News; SpaceX are launching another Falcon 9 Heavy rocket today. This is a big-ish deal for me as it's a 60 ton payload rocket that is a short step away from their 100 ton BFR that's in development. That puts the human species back in the sort of position, in terms of capability, we were in back in the 60s with the Saturn V. Interesting to see how this 'space race' develops! Also; Our homegrown developmental space-plane engine has passed a significant technological milestone. If they get this thing fully operational it really could revolutionise the space industry.
