Price of pheasant poults
Born Hunter replied to shovel leaner's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
£3.10 for our poults last year apparently. Paid as much a £4.50 for a couple hundred early partridges though. -
For a while now I’ve had a bit of a soft spot for terrier spaniel crosses. But if I’m being honest the base breeds are better suited to what I do at the moment. Like you I don’t want to be over dogged.

Well in mate! A good day decoying is very hard to beat. Unfortunately they're not all like that!
-
What a magnificent country, eh?
-
Yes, most recent episode I believe.
-
Maybe not but do you think that really factors into the thinking of a man from such a piss poor society? African or European? I mean it was only a few hundred years ago piss poor Brits extirpated wolves, bear, lynx and boar. Conservation seems to be exclusive to modern educated peoples. Even hunter gatherers like palaeolithic man so often portrayed as 'in touch with the natural world' are likely to have been responsible for the extinction of many species not able to adapt as our species migrated to new lands.

Anyone watch the recent Mongolia special? Dropped off with a bare bone Landrover in parts in the backside of nowhere, Mongolia. Once built they had a week off-roading back to civilisation. Lucky lucky b*****ds! If they had had a rifle and a rod they'd have feasted like kings too mind.

God, Africa would turn into a shithole if the aid actually got to the African! LOL The population of Africa is exploding! Set to double in 30 years with no sign of halting. And that's with all the disease, famine, war, crime and nasties eating them. If the aid got there and actually made life better for them then the entire continent would be a concrete jungle within hours! LOL I'm not about to revel in this 'poachers' demise because the situation on the ground is a fair bit more complicated than 'we' tend to believe. But at the same time I don't much give a f**k either

I like the stamp of that pup. Good bone and feet.

Okay, so maybe he didn't believe that 5 hours sleep was enough then? I was making a general statement that back in the 70s 80s 90s that sort of hard core attitude was much more predominant than it is today. No? His quote seemed an appropriate example. If we had been talking about politics I'd have used Thatcher. 'God amongst men' wasnt a dig, he is to many! And he deserves it. Not sure the relevance of pretty boy athletes? Maybe I worded it carelessly or probably take CJs wise attitude and sit these threads out.

Gnasher will know better but to my knowledge your bodies ability to metabolise protein is not limited. Arguably what is limited is your bodies ability to direct that protein into muscle building. The rest will be directed to energy production/storage. I believe for the average fella the limit I talk about is about 30-40gms in one sitting.

I don't see why not. I mean we have chicks with dicks protected as such by law! It's all just a 'social construct', right? LOL

Economic growth! We (nations) are all competing for economic dominance and GDP is the measure of that. As soon as GDP flat lines investment stops and all sorts of bad shit is waiting around the corner. Two mechanism for growth, increase resources or improve your systems through innovation. The later is a slow burner, the former is quick and easy and involves population growth (labour is a resource). Hence migration.... See why I can't escape from this belief that it's all just f***ing inevitable (long term), mate? lol
-
Conversely, how can you be proud of something that you had no choice over? ie your ethnicity. We all contribute to this nation and our ethnic culture. I suppose in that respect you can either be proud or disappointed of either? Regarding migration, I don't see a problem with anyone being able to apply. It's the acceptance criteria and ultimate objective of migration policy I think is where the problem lies. Going off on a tangent here but the definition of your ethnicity is way blurrier than your nationality. I mean, who decides that? LOL. You just kinda self identify, right? It
-
Nah mate you're right, even the Gov agree with you. English, Welsh, Irish, Scottish along with Cornish and another one I forget are officially recognised ethnicities. British is the recognised nationality.

Thinking about it, I'm sure @WILF has a couple GSPs..... Probably not a corner of the forum he frequents.
-
I'm with you there. Possibly misunderstood.

I struggle with front squats, even cross armed, so I almost exclusively do a close stance back squat. Then maybe superset with goblet squats, again close stance. I like lunges etc just because they take the back out a bit and are a very functional movement that translates into day to day life well.
-
LOL, walking lunges, goblet squats, step ups, sissy squats, even tuck jumps. Stuff I find useful and functional. If I ran a million miles in a handstand between each set I could probably do crossfit!
-
Mate, that's sound. I like a bit of space for walking lunges but nothing wrong with that.

I've come to the conclusion I just don't think it's a choice mate. It's our nature to compete and grow. For literally thousands of years empires (globalism) have grown and collapsed back into tribes (nations). Meanwhile technology continues to progress and the geographical and cultural barriers that are necessary for the development of unique tribes (nations) are being lowered by that technology. There will come a point when visiting Australia is as easy as visiting another English city is today and then the barriers that are necessary for nationalism will have been all but eroded. For the fir

By the sounds of it he believed all the alpha male, hard as f**k bullshit. I know Arnold is a god amongst men to many lifters but I think his line of "sleep less, you don't need more than 5 hours sleep" is f***ing reckless. But maybe elite bodybuilders are somehow unique in medical science? It's an unhealthy mentality from the last century that thankfully the modern idols of young aspiring athletes don't continue to push.
