  1. it was longdogrunners and rew heat last night wich we ran up the dales on one of my farms , the very steep one rew got off to a bad start missing his first , and longdog got off to a good start not missing for the first few. well we climed steadily upwards acounting for a good few . the wind was blowing well and there were good numbers out. after an hour and a half we stopped and i quikly gutted all the rabbits they had 10 each , but longdog had a runn in hand. now this farm is very testing for the dogs theres lots of steep banks and humps and hollers. but the dogs ran well acount

  4. i was wondering about this myself the other day, i have two jills that are identicle in fact i think there clones but they work diffrent . was wondering if there was a harmless die , that lasted a few months then i could top it up. might just do brimmers idea and give a little haircut
  5. been there a few times camping over 10 year ago now, but by god there was some rabbits up there. you should get 1 or 2 jbs. happy hunting
  6. used to do loads of night ferreting years ago , usualy on very moony nights. did all the places that you couldn't do in the daytime like the parkland on big estates. walk the rabbits in first, use both longnets and purse nets, no need for a torch, but they do come in handy when you have to dig and you cant see in the bottom when you break through. also did some fields next to a power station, loads of light polution so need for moonlight TOMO

  14. Why does it need to be so thik and heavy to hold a bar code, im sure a pice of laminated card on one leg of a normal hoop snare would sufice. your just making work for your self jbs. but you will find this out in the next few weeks.

  16. GOOD STUFF BRIMMER, YES THOSE TOPS GET MIGHTY COLD UP THERE, IM SUPRICED BY THE AMOUNT OF YOU CHAPS THAT LIKE THE BIG HOBS, AND THE DIGGING THING. ME I LIKE MY SMALL TO MEDUIM JILLS THAT MOVE AROUND QUIK AND GET THEM SHIFTED, PLUSS THEY GO THROUGH THE PURSE NETS. AND THE FERRET BOX WEIGHS FECK ALL NOW I SOME TIMES HERE PEOPLE SAY THEY TIRE TO EASY BUT MINE WORK ALL DAY , AND SOMTIMES THE DAY AFTER AS WELL. DONT GET ME WRONG WE STILL GET DIGS. BUT EVEN A 1 FOOT DIG CAN SOMTIMES BE A FECKING PAIN WITH STONE AND SHALE . MUCH PREFER A BOLT IN TO A NET. EACH TO THERE OWN I SUPOS
  17. FECKS SAKE I GO TO WORK AND IT KICKS OF AGAIN MARK I TOLD YOU ON THE PHONE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED, WHY BRING IT UP HERE NOW THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THIS TO GO PUBLICK AND EMBARRAS ANYONE, ESPECIALY A YOUNG LASS AND HER YOUNG DOG. SHE WAS OUT OF THE COMP ANYWAY. IT WAS COLIE GREY'S DOG THAT WENT FOR THE SHEEP, NO IT DID NOT KILL THE SHEEP. IT WAS DANCING AROUND IT PUTTING IN JABS LIKE A BOXER. AFTER SOME SHOUTING AND HOLLARING THE DOG CAME BACK, AND THE SHEEP RAN OFF. UNFORTUNATLY IT WAS TO FAR AWAY TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY DAMAGE TO IT, PERSONLY I DONT THINK THERE WAS.
  18. agree with mat, they are shit, set one once about 5 year ago in a loft, befor i left the loft it sprung its self , and the spring broke. the spring was like a bit of mettal banding, this was the first time the trap fired, as it was brand new out the box. never again with big cheese. GOD KNOWS WHY KILLGERM SELL THERE RUBBISH
  19. OUT OF THE HAT IS THE FAIREST WAY and we can do it on line, as i said to longdog the other day. if each one of us left in is given a number, then some one nutral can just say a number then another number . then them two will meet in the next round.
  20. the wind picked up here a little yesterday and the ground was soft so a quik spin with the dog for an hour was in order. ealier in the day some rabbit contract work came in , so i had a look on there as well as a couple of other little spots. there were suprisingly alot of game out last night, even though it was bitterly cold. i ended up with 7 rabbits and 2 hares i shot, they have to be thinned as well. to much damage being done to the wheat. i also lamped a couple of oppertunists who were out very early, im wondering if it was jim from moochers
  21. good post you seen the video's. says it all realy. why not try it befor you comment
