  9. done this one a few times,, its one i look forward to when we are on this farm,, its a pile of boulders behind a barn,, at first glance you would think feck that,, but the tunnels are just underneath the rocks and you can usualy see the action,,, it usualy holds a few,, think we had 10 the first time
  10. if its where i pm you mate ,, ive had a good wander round there especialy in the early 90's,, in fact we shot that wood a good few times behind the landy ,,, mind you there were lots of fur trees in there , wich made it hard work done a fir bit of lamping round there some cracking scores them mate,, ide love to get more permision in that genral area, as its only a half hour away,,

  13. some very funny answers on here,, chuckling all the way through the thread im 44,, apart from carrying a few more pounds than i should, in the main im fine,, i train 3-4 times a week,, wich definatly helps, yes i ach after a good days ferreting, or if i have walked about up the dales all night... the worst thing i found with getting older,,,, was jumping down of things, in particular stone walls,, as a fit young thing i never felt it... but now it realy jars my hips and knees
  14. well i never said my best bags were in the motor,, although i have had 40... as for the rabbits running to the motor that can happen ,, but usualy the dogs have good vehicle sence,,, but i have hurd of accidents
  15. go steady mate,, that 3 lines today sounds like a good weekend though
  16. charts thats exactly it,,,, good, bad, a rubbish.. about 5 years since,, on big day up the dales,, i lost a hob with a collar on,, he had never been much good,, but i dont like loosing them....anyway we carried on ferreting a big bank,, the very last waren about 15 holes,, slipped the long net round, droped in a ferret,,, 2 rabbits bolted nice, then nothing 10 mins,, out with the grey box,, a spit full of soil.................and there it was the hob from earlier that morning,, i kid you not it was still curled up asleep as i broke through , i boxed him up, the jill was still work
  17. better for the dog walking i think because the dog is warmed up and streched before any work instead of bailed out of motor and expected to perform 100 percent can only speek for myself,, but i prefered to get the dogs by the side of the motor,, even then giving them 5 mins to just trot along and go toilet ect,, befor you run them proper
  18. yeh take the dogs off them, bloody hell fella,, you obviously want an argument just to add not evrybody that drives ,, chucks the dogs out the window,, some run along side Do some folk do that? Whats the point in that then. Surely now you are giving the advantage to the game you run as the dogs will be getting tired? I'll just go back to the other point about 'turning game' for the dog. As i mentioned its a bit of a cheat and is it purely for filling the bag?. One thing i have learned on here is that most lads that respect the game they chase are quite happy for there chosen quarry
  19. yeh take the dogs off them, bloody hell fella,, you obviously want an argument just to add not evrybody that drives ,, chucks the dogs out the window,, some run along side
  20. in some respects lab your right it is cheating,,, but you could argue any lamping is cheating... certainly when lamping rabbits from the truck, i cheat,, of course, i drive round the field clockwise , next to the hedge, and try and get inbtween the hedge and rabbit. other game is difrent of course in where they want to go
  21. same as tiny realy, of course alot depends on the land,, some of our farms up the dales it woud be impossible,,, but i have also drove some of the other farms with great results. unlike born to run,,, when i do it , the dog is running alongside the motor already,
  22. 100% that should have been red..... good game though im a twat,, thought england were playing after this wales game
