    I used compressed shavings all year round in both sleeping and main compartments, never had a problem.

    The mark3 needs some serious sorting out, the switching the collars on and off with a magnet is poor. they could also have made the collar smaller. the daft sounds it makes is also a pain in the neck. I have both the mark1 and the mark 3m, and find i only use the mark3m collar with my old knocking box. What i really find annoying is the ferreting experts that are used to test the latest kit, none of them come out and say what a load of shit. no doubt Deben will be working on the new mark4.

    Regarding not everyone has a lifestyle that suits barf. You take two chicken wings out the freezer for breakfast. main meal a handfull biscuit chopped spinach from frozen bag and grated carrot. A pound of frozen minced meat defrosted and mixed with other ingredients, takes mins to set up.

    I feed raw, apart from cooking Rabbit. Presently feeding chicken and tripe, and Beef and tripe comes in pound bags from DAF, mixed with a quality small biscuit, raw Spinach and grated Carrot, and a pinch of Seaweed powder. Breakfast two raw Duck wings from same company.

    I know a non folder can be a bugger to carry, but you cant beat a bulldog,bought mine 40 years ago and still going strong, never need to replace any parts.

    Apart from being to young, the thing that would cause me concern, is your statement, not got the toughest feet in the World, especially if your looking to put in a cross that would improve feet. Feet are well up there, in Running Dogs, so i personally would not breed from a Dog or bitch that did not have good feet. There are plenty of good Bitches out there, of what ever cross you fancy, with a lot more experience in the field, and are 100% sound.

    How compact are these nets, in other words how much room do they take up in the bag, who sells them? and can you stick a photo up.

    I only used them once, bought a hob, picked him up from local railway station. as soon as i took him out the box, he had me, and when he bit, he didn't play about, he was a big bugger, he was the only Ferret I, used a glove he was my first Ferret, never used them again.

    Never fed complete, i feed Raw, and its easy and quick to feed. Breakfast two raw chicken wings or Duck wings' Main meal, handful of small biscuit,fresh grated Carrot and spinach. Beef and Tripe, or Chicken and tripe from Durham Animal Feeds, comes in pound packs, he also gets cooked Rabbit, this is for a Whippet. Twice a week a pinch of Seaweed powder.

    How did it go? It's been a struggle on the Nith this year as it was last. Have managed 6 salmon so far but have put some hours in for them. Had a walk up the Nith today, started at Dalscone, and finnished at the top boards, about 6 miles, saw six Fishermen, various beats, all had caught nothing, in fact i never saw a Fish, and it was a good water, running off tea coloured. Years ago I would walk these fields, and always see at least a couple of Hares and a few rabbits, the last four times ive seen naught. According to the Fishermen this is one of the poorest Seasons the Nith has

    Tote, years ago I was walking the Nith at Cowhill when my Whippet X Bedlington took off, I noticed two stoats chasing each other in circles out on a shingle back, i couldn't do anything to stop it, she killed the two of them, cant say i was overjoyed, as I have great respect for these little Warriors. By the way did the vasectomy, Hob bring your jill out?

    Im sure Bill Brightmore told me, Plummer came to interview him, they didnt get on and Bill told him to leave, thats why Bill Brightmore is not included in the book, I know Bill was a bit of a rogue, but he should have been in there.

    Yeah i used to make it, if its made right its deadly, better when the river is low and cold, they come looking for it then. Some fished it above a Worm, but i was taught, that if your stuff was good, they will hit it first, years ago, we used to get a run of what they called Greybacks, back end Sea Troots, and good Herlings, seen us fishing in the dark in December, picking up five or six.
