  1. With the prices Vets are charging for a Vasectomy, this is a really good offer.
  2. Forgot to mention, when I put them together, i never separated them. they have run together since.
  3. As above, the Lads on there should know of any possible Litters coming up, surprised there are not more litters, as there appears to be a demand for this cross, and not many being bred, maybe to do with Whippets being popular, and owners of Whippet Bitches preferring to breed to a Whippet.
  4. Mines also mated the Jill three weeks ago and swelling has just about gone, maybe your Jill is just taking a bit longer, or your hob didn't do the business, was her neck marked during mating?
  5. There are numerous posts in the lurcher section on Bedlington X Whippets the most common cross for a Rabbiting Dog. Great little Dogs should work cover, mark, and catch, you can also lamp them.
  6. Boysie, google Kellings Dog coats, I have one, they make Whippet coats a good price and more important well made.
  7. I think you should ask the Vet, how come you can be charged £45 to £81 for the same op.
  8. My Hobs op was the same, small incision, was he a Vet or a Butcher
  9. An old photo taken over twenty Years ago, bred the opposite way, Whippet X Bedlington first cross she was a very good bitch well known in my area at the time.
  10. Anyone know how many Bedlingtons were in their class?
  11. Just a thought, with Vasectomies becomming verry popular to bring Jills out of Season, will it become difficult in the future to find quality breeding Hobs,
  12. Dont know if this is true, but was told when netting Sea Bass in the Solway, Scottish side, if you catch Seatrout or Salmon dead, they have to be left lying on the sand, if you lift them and take them, you have committed an offense. Is this true?
  13. The thing about CW is since the ban you can only really write about certain subjects, so it becomes repetitive, take Ferreting, Dog marks, fert goes in, rabbit bolts or you dig,, I did like Penny Taylors column, found it usually interesting, I bought it recently for six months, but gave up, I was reading it in five mins, still found for sale column interesting, but as been said, its not a patch on the old SN, I used to look forward to that. Dont think I would buy it again.
  14. My Hob is quiet as a mouse, but even when having the snip, and was smelling the Jill,he was getting uptight and would try and give a nip, since going in with the jill for a week he has quietened down, and has returned to his quiet nature, and no more trying to nip.
  15. I had a last year Kit done, the Vet said he had to be 6 Months, so he was snipped at this age, he went to the Jill last week 7 wks after the op, if op has been a failure will let you know.
  16. Get yourself on the Working Whippet Forum, plenty info on there, and Pups, Stud Dogs ect
  17. Whats wrong whae your common working Ferret, fed up hearing aboot Micros, Greyhound Ferts, Eu Polecats Giant Hobs, and now Mongooses.
  18. I would get one of this years Kits and get him snipped, you might as well just jab the jill again that has come back in, as it takes six to eight weeks after the op before you can use him on your jills anyway, You can snip a Hob at 6 months of age, when he is fully mature.
  19. My snipped Hob went to the Jill today, six weeks two days after the op, just hope he is okay, the Vet said he cut the tube at least quarter of an inch, just have to wait, to see if op has been a success.
  20. Theres a lot more to a being a good Rabbiting dog than catching, this Bitch would mark a bury, then lie quietly behind waiting for the bolt, if this did not happen, and a dig was on, she would move to find the next occupied bury and lie behind the bury waiting on me, thats being clever, this saved me a lot of time, and put more Rabbits in the bag.
  21. The mark2 never received good reviews, as has been said, go for a mark1
  22. I take it your getting it done by a Vet, if yes, im sure he will tell you.
  23. Have a look on the Working Whippet Forum.
