I had a saluki grey hound who we nicknamed seal for his talent in the water he would regularly throw himself into a deep river pool near us to retrieve a floating stick , he had a huge talent for fetching back a stone thrown into water as he would literally swim under the surface to find it I’ve never seen a dog like it before or since , I once cooled him down at lowther show by throwing him in the pond there and he attracted a crowd who watching him swimming under the water .
