  1. As above, no. Saves some cash on full bore rifles when zeroing but a bit pointless on an airgun.
  2. I know it's a bit of a personal thing but as good as the is/was for me they always feel like a bit of a lump. Top heavy and not very well balanced somehow. I can't knock what they can do though and the HW's trigger does have a better more predictable feel than the Sport's, but not by much, IMHO. Where the Sport does lag behind is if folks are looking for a springer to put on ticket, any more than about 14 in .22 is asking to ruin them so there's really no point, whereas the can be taken to close to around 20 before they spit their dummy out. A bit off toppic but if you're still after
  3. That's a very rare find indeed, mate The 127 was the .22 version, FWB used funny model numbers for some reason. I had the .177 124 many years back, just before my first coincidentally, and I always thought the Sport felt nicer to shoot somehow than the HW. Lovely old classic that will go to a good home with either Steve or Wurz. Good luck with the sale, not that you'll need it!!
  4. hi Andy is he still on the same mobile number ? if not say hi for me Davy No, Davy, his old number's long gone now. I'll PM you his new one at his folks I'll pass that on anyway
  5. Simon's all well and good, folks He's still staying with his family while his new gaff is being sorted, he was hoping to be moved in by now but it's taking longer than hoped, as these things often do. He's also been spending a fair bit of time dedicated to his painting as he's still setting up his studio and also trying to get exposeure for his art. I'll be speaking to Simon over the next day or so, so I'll ask him to reply himself if he can but he still has only very limited internet access. I'll pass on all your regards Cheers.
  6. As above with the Nikko and JSR 3-9x40. If you can shell out just a little bit more JSR do a 2-7x32 that's made especially for springers. I've used one for years on all kinds of things and I can't recomend them highly enough. Very strong and a fantasticly clear image for the price.
  7. Wurz, if you need to use your walnut stock as a mould lightly coat it with silicon grease first and whatever you use (within reason!!) won't stick and the silicon will not damage or stain the wood Sounds interesting, mate, good luck!!
  8. FFS, where the hell do they find these folks?? It's no wonder the country's fecked
  9. Hello, mate, and welcome to the forum Yep it is as simple as just pulling the old one out and fitting a new one. As above, you can turn it round if your careful but for the sake of a couple of quid it's not really worth it. Lovely old guns the 35. If it's not broke, don't fix it
  10. Whatever the factory recomend. Stick to original spec, forget on OX whatever gun it is you have.
  11. I've just read through the post. I don't know about special forces but the bloke's certainly special in other ways. What a knob
  12. Anyone who posts on a forum wether under a sudanim or not can be tracked down by anyone with the right determination and know how. FB may not be exactly the best example but for those who know, it's only a little more dangerous than here. Good luck with the page, lads
  13. Go for it, Rake Best of luck with the search
  14. As Si and Daz have said, there's nothing at all wrong with shooting from a seated position even if you're sat in the middle of a field. As has been said, so long as your movements are slow, you're aware of where the rabbits are looking as you move, you keep quiet and down wind, you'll be fine I normally shoot seated as I can't shoot from a prone position because of a shoulder injury and I've never had too many problems as a result. Follow Si's advice mate, and you'll be fine. Cheers.
  15. To make the most of what I've got and to enjoy what I have.
  16. If the ram's fecked you can take it out and fit a steel spring from the HW80, it uses the existing piston with the ram's inner strut removed. Make sure the ram's fully de-gassed before though otherwise it'll go very badly for you...... As above, make sure all that needs to be tight is. They don't like being left idle for long periods, my 90 once did exactly the same thing after a long lay up. Is the gun dieseling? They can be quite prone to that when running at full pressure and that will naff up it's accuracy big style. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on
  17. I don't wish to offend and I'm not being rude but no matter what you do to your BSA it's never going to be any better than average at best. Don't waste your time and money, Lewis. Chop the thing in for something like an HW95 that has the potential to be the gun you're wanting and that your Super Sport can never be. If you do stick with the SS, I'd tend to go down the gas-ram road. It really does smooth out the actions on those BSAs but it will do nothing to sort out it's other issues..... Good luck, mate
  18. Just on the phone to Simon now and he says...... 'Heartfelt thanks to all of you who posted replys. I am pleased to report guns scopes and amunition were non negotiable and remain as before. Looking forward to hopefully joining up with more of you in the new year. Love and fondest regards to every one of you. Simon.'
  19. Get yourself a JSR 2-7x32, they're made for FAC springers. I've had mine on all sorts and it's never missed a beat in five years As for the rings, get a little double sided carpet gripper tape in there. That'll stop the tube slipping back.
