  1. Fair play to you, Joe It's just such a bloody shame that there seems to be only one like you for every hundred of them.
  2. Retrieve what?? Pies?? Only kidding, Welshtyke
  3. That's exactly what I was thinking!!
  4. maybe a case of let enough people know who and where he is and things will take care of themselves? hope so anyway! Couldn't agree more. Now that the evil shit's face has been made public justice will be done, but that will never take away the pain of his victims.
  5. I'll have your two 80s back to you the next time we meet up, Simon, all set up and shooting lovely I've also done a little work on my 90 since I was last over. Try them back to back then say which rifle shoots the best See you next week, mate
  6. Just one point about your scope, Lewis. Don't be tempted to mess about changing the mag too much, on many cheaper scopes your point of impact will change. Pick one mag that you like and stick to it. Around 6 should do you fine for general field shooting.
  7. Mike, the barrels in the older Brummy built BSAs were a British made one, unlike the ones they use now in their PCPs (not their Spanish springers) which are I believe are Walther. I think the Supersport use's the same Spanish barrel as the Lightning on which it is based, so you're not comparing like with like. All the older .22 British barrels were 5.6mm and not the European 5.5. There was never a specific issue with .177 Lewis.... Check your kit over, make sure all that needs to be tight is tight. I don't see a moderator in your pic, so I guess that's not an issue. Try a different sc
  8. It says £6000 on the link, not £60000 but all the same it could have been spent more wisely..... Still, what a cracking minute!!
  9. He's not a bad lad is our Simon!! LOL
  10. Fair comment, Mike, but that tends to be more the case with .22 and not .177.
  11. If you're talking about those felt cleaning pellets, DO NOT use them in a spring gun. It's almost as bad as dry firing them!! You'll wreck your rifle in the long term. You shouldn't need to clean your BSA's barrel after 2000 shots never mind 200 if you're using good quality pellets. If you were getting good results from AA Fields and suddenly they stopped performing, then the problem will almost certainly be down to your kit and not your ammo.
  12. Nothing wrong with an , they're one of the best break-barrels available, but if you find the weight of a TX an issue it may not be ideal for you. They are a bit of a lump. As above, have a look at the 95
  13. That's heavy that mate. Yeah, they were both pretty shitty at the time, mate, but it's made me rather pragmatic about death. Shit happens, and all that. Edit to add.... I've just re-read my first post and I really didn't word some of it too well, but you get the point.
  14. I really don't get this open coffin thing at all. I know it's each to their own but seeing dead boddies ain't too nice for me. I've only ever seen two, the first was a lad I was out for a motorbike ride with, he lost it on a left hand bend and slid into oncoming traffic and a car ran right over him. The other was after my mum after see topped herself and a WPC asked me to identify the body lying under a sheet in the hall. If I never see another dead person, it will be too soon....
  15. Just my opinion but if you're getting a slot for FAC air, the TX isn't ideal. As lovely as they are, they're not really designed for much more than 12ft-lbs. Much more than that ruins what is a lovely springer, you'll get around 16 at best before it turns into a total dog to use so there's not much point wasting a slot on your FAC. If you're wanting a springer there's none better than the Diana 48 or 52, or if you can find one and your budget allows the 54. They're made as standard to shoot close to 30ft-lbs in .22 and mid 20's in .177 and speaking from experience they shoot very well at t
  16. They supply barrels to a good few gun makers, Chris. I've a .20 one on my HW90, I've never heard any bad press about them.
  17. Hi, Joe. Air Arms own kit is second to none if it's service parts you're after. What exactly do you mean by 'tune' though?
  18. Shop around. A mate of mine picked up a very nice HW90 with a mod, topped off with a very nice Nikko scope for £150 last year
