  1. Just avoid anything French from around that age. Good engines but the rest will just fall to bits if it hasn't already and cost a fortune to repair.
  2. I think you've a slightly damaged breach seal that the grease has fixed in the short term. I'll bet the problem soon comes back, mate, but I hope it doesn't
  3. As mentioned above, breach seal. If a pellet's been trapped in there then that's the most likely culprit but it's odd that there should be such a marked difference between two quality brands of pellet Let us know how you get on, mate Simon..... I'll give you a call over the weekend
  4. Not sure about this weekend, Simon, I'll have to see how it pans out but if I'm free then I'm well up for meeting up Is there a number I can get you on? PM me if there is. Have fun and play nicely See you soon, mate.
  5. Simon? Where are you at the moment? I've been trying to ring you, so stop shagging and get your arse home!! LOL
  6. If you pay for postage and parts, I'll do the job FOC for you with a service thrown in. PM me if that's what you want to do
  7. you are quite right regarding the weight of pellets and spring guns ,i recently purchased a diana 460 magnum which is around same power as diana 48 but this gun does not shoot heavy pellets with same power as the gun in the pics,i have tested these pellets at 50 yard with this gun and compared 12 other kind of pellets for penetration in plywood before deciding to use this pellet for pig hunt. Fair play to you, mate. I'm sorry if I took your first posts with a rather large pinch of sceptacism but having read through your replys I can see you seem to be genuine I've had a fair bit of e
  8. The gun in the pic's a Diana side lever of some kind, looks like a mod 48 or one of it's developments. A very well fettled one will give low to mid 30s with a mid weight pellet before it turns into an unshootable dog. They don't like heavy pellets such as the Baracuds power wise, so this will drop to mid to high 20s at best in .22. This is all pretty academic though as shooting something such as a wild pig with this kind of kit is bloody irresponsible to say the least, IMHO.
  9. Cold when you reached it? Must've been a hell of a long walk!!
  10. You were very lucky that pig didn't mess you up after being fluked by a lucky shot from an air gun with no more than around 30ft-lbs, mate
  11. I'm not wishing to be all doom and gloom but there's a good chance it's fecked the scope if all's tight and you've checked the usual stuff. Hawke make some nice clear optics for the price but they're not the most strongly built scopes and springers can break them from time to time and the Fenman, like most other Theoben springers, has a well earned reputation as a scope wrecker due to their unusually sharp snappy recoil. You really need a proper spring rated scope on your Fenman, mate, or it'll only break the next Hawke.
  12. What a lovely thread, fair play to you all
  13. 10.5 or there abouts is plenty, mate. Your results should tell you that. No need to [bANNED TEXT] at the shop keeper
  14. If they're giving you their willies, mate, they're bulls!! I know what you mean though, they creep me out too
  15. The only way to find out for sure is to give it a try, but if you're worried then get shut of it and go for a proper spring rated scope. JSR do some good strong scopes for springers. I've used one of their 2-7x32 scopes on all kinds of stuff for a few years now and it's been perfect. Recomended.
  16. You're right, mate, they're not really built for spring guns but they are a decent scope for the price and the TX is gentle for a springer so you may well be OK with it. Give it a go and let us know how it gets on. Best of luck
  17. Not a film, but this cracks me up!!
  18. Well you're both posting with identical ip addresses.. What really?? Never, I'm shocked!!
  19. As above, they've cocked it up not you, and after a year that's just taking the piss. They should get it back to as it was at their cost pretty bloody shapish. What shop is it, just out of interest? Best of luck with it, mate.
  20. Are you for real??? I've got to hand it to you, Kate, you really are a very special person (persons...) indeed. I just hope you get whatever it is that you want to satisfy your own very unique needs and fantasies Good luck with your continued research!!
  21. You've not got a problem sending videos via email though, have you??
  22. Nice result with your new scope, but I will never understand why anyone needs a 32 mag scope on any sporting rifle, never mind an airgun Each to their own I guess
