  1. I'd be up for that but I've no cam corder of the first idea of how to do this I there's someone near me (Leeds Ish....) who can help me out then please let me know.
  2. I don't think he's probably too far out, Chris. They're as old as the hills!! Cracking little junior rifles, my boys could do with something like that, buying Co2 for the Ratty is killing me!!
  3. I brought this as 40 tube , it shrunk down to 25 to fit the shroud . It's rubber and has a great feel , and it's non slip . Easy to do , Buster I've done the same to the Parker Hale mod on my HW90. Matt finish and non-slip
  4. I know what Mole's saying about dicking about with cheap rubbish trying to make it better (I've been guilty of that many times in the past!!) but there's little point spending a load of time and cash on something that's only ever going to be average at best. Much better to get something decent in the first place.
  5. Those older British barrels tended to favour 5.6mm ammo such as Ely Wasps but their quality these days isn't so great, sadly. RWS Super Domes tend to be a decent bread and butter pellet too from those older UK built springers
  6. Can you fit a ram to the 95?? Didn't think you could HW90, best break barrel available IMO, and it also happens to be a gas ram
  7. If you've still got my number, Mike, give me a call
  8. Once an airgun's been registered on ticket, in the eyes of the law it's always classed as a firearm, no matter if it's doing over 12 or not, Lewis.
  9. You've done nothing wrong, Tony, so don't worry. Some pen pushing busy-body's got a bee in their bonnet that's all. Grin and bear it, mate. You'll be laughing about the whole sorry business in no time
  10. Hi, Wurz. Yes it'll be with me and so will my mate Paul's 90 aswell. See you there, all being well
  11. Cheap Chineese rubbish turned into expensive pretend USA rubbish by the Yanks. Stick to Air Arms or something German. If you fancy a gas ram there's none better than the HW90.
  12. The price for the spec sounds very good and Ramsbottoms don't tend to sell junk. I've had a few scopes from them over the years and haven't been let down yet
  13. 13mm's an odd size these days but you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting some. Try e(vil)bay if your local shop doesn't stock them. As for the pronunciation, I dunno but from what I remember KY always worked well to keep things smoothed out on those
  14. Either that or a BSF Bavaria Junior, mate.
  15. If you can find one for the right price, the King Ratty is a bit more useful than the normal one. A useable bit more power and round 200 shots per bottle from mine but I always change at around 150 just to be sure as when they run out, they run out very fast with little warning. As for pellets, mine's one of the least pellet-fussy rifles I've ever owned, pretty much any decent quality ammo groups well from mine but if I had to choose a favourite, I'd go for H and N FTTs followed by (as above) RWS Super Domes.
  16. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/219280-crossman-king-ratcatcher-22-co2-air-rifle-a-pleasently-surprisingly-brilliant-little-gun/page__hl__%2Bking+%2Bratty I don't know if this is any use to you, but here's a link to a test that my mate Simon (Pianoman) did on mine last year.
  17. Hi, Lewis. I got your PM the other day and I'm sorry for the delay. I'm old, I'm rubbish and I've been ill and for once it's not self inflicted For the money, even if it's a total shonker that at least still shoots, it's a bargain so buy it Things to watch for once you have.... It's old, so it'll need at least a good strip and clean. The trigger mech's are prone to fill up with crap over the years and can be a bugger to strip down and rebuild. They are a self-contianed unit, however, and can be de-crapped and re-lubed without having to take the thing to bits. That's assuming it's wor
  18. I fitted a ram to my own Lightning and it did improve the rifle a little. Smoother and quieter to shoot and I never had any problems in the three years I had the gun. Sold it to a mate a couple of years ago and it's still going fine. As said above though, they aren't 100% reliable and if a retro-fitted kit leaks, it's fecked. They can't be re-filled. That said, your mate will still have a Lightning so it'll still be pretty shitty compared to most of it's German rivals such as the HW95. Maybe he'd be better off chopping the Lightning in instead of chucking cash at a badly flawed gun. Just m
  19. You did indeed reply to me and I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner I'm too 'old school' I guess to get too involved with most of the technical stuff you mentioned, my field of experience is from many years back messing around with German and British springers for a living in the 's and early 90's, since then all I've been doing is looking after my own and friend's guns. I know feck-all about PCPS!! As to the OP's question...... Whatever gun you're useing and whatever position you're shooting from, if you can't stick at least 90% of your shots within around an inch, then that's your limit,
  20. Nice film, Si, and how good's that lass with the pistol??!! Fair play to all who made Mike's send off a really decent event, I'm just sad I couldn't make it. If you're reading this, Mike, I wish you all you could want. I hope you find whatever it is you need to and I hope you find it well. Stay safe, be lucky and take care
