I've got both and prefer the chimnea. they hold heat and burn longer as the air flow is a bit more restricted, almost like a pizza oven with a chimney. to be honest, i always light both tho, i do like a good burn up of an evening with an ale or two...as for clay chimneas cracking, it's usally down to not curing them right. the first few times you use a clay you should barely load it and let it just burn out, this puts a good coating of soot on the inside, then just crack on. iv'e had one over ten yrs with no problems, and i'll have the flames lapping out the top of it... funny enough, i bumped into an old mate of mine today, who, a good few years back now was bang into his body building. won the area title and qualified for "mr britain"? i was working with him at the time he was ripping out, 10 weekso f pretty much starving himself and shooting all sort of shit as i remember, whilst pointing up on the training. he certainly looked the part, but he'd be blowing out his arse at the slightest excersion. so i can get the above comment. sent him half doolally in the end and he knocked it on the head and went to muay thai, lost a couple of stone in bulk and didn't d

The mill is an excellent bit of kit to be used ALONGSIDE other forms of exercise NOT as a substitute. As for working an earth dog on one, always found plenty of hand walking and their job was more than enough...j.m.o. Yokel

Many moons ago an old digging partner of mine rang me and said he had obtained a wee border bitch, 5yrs ish, and everyone of them years a house pet...k.c.reg etc. Any hoo, broke tru to my dog on quarry that was holding a bit of ground, removed mine to give the "pet" a look...shot straight in and drew like a pro.... who'd have thunk it??? no particular order...imelda may is on top form and looking smokin!!! gogol bordello for sheer mad ukranian gypsy punk madness. christy moore had grown men in tears! afro celt sound system for a rave style dance fest. jerron "blind boy" paxton was probably my fave of the acts i'd never heard of, great old timey blues! man there was so many good acts. i go most years and i have to say, this was one of the best for quality music...le vent du nord, french canadian...
