    I find the best places for foraging in the UK, certainly in my area, are allotments. Depending on the time of year they really have it all, carrots, runner beans, spuds etc...You name it..! Yokel

Fella would occasionally turn up with a wee bitch called "newt" looked like a pure beddy but no more than 14" she was in fact half fell to a beddy/whippet!
