I’ll never forget when a mate climbed to the the top of this conker tree (it was in an old dears back garden) must have been about 8m high, if not more and he fell ? I can still hear him squealing oh shit as he came down, knocked another mate out of the tree and then both hit the old dear’s rotary washing line and smashed into the floor ? Point I’m trying to make is sometimes getting the conkers was more dangerous then playing ?? Imagine banning it fgs. Country is fuucked!

Never left anything behind. Used to boil my piss when I’d find a pile of rabbits. Wasn’t the fact people had been on doing a bit, it was the waste! Most of the time I couldn’t even use them for ferret or dog fodder, just had to heave them into the bushes, out of sight so the dog walkers didn’t see them.

Experience, keep them hungry etc. I was working with a lad and I was on 30k plus commission more than him, for the same job. The difference was experience and skill. That same lad is on more than 200k a year now, only 5-6 years later.

Exactly mate! My fist job was at farmfoods and paid the grand sum of £2.22 an hour. My daughter started on less than a fiver, now she pays her own way to Italy etc. Only took her a year

I used to turn up at a farmers suited and booted and after polite conversation, ask for permission. I was never refused I’ve never driven land or taken the piss. Plenty times been caught on the wrong side of the fence and plenty times I’ve walked away with either permission or an invite. The ban is what fuucked everything up imo! Made it sexy to all the fuucking nobheads and then pricks sold them dogs! Same thing happened with the scratching game.

99% of all galgos (Spanish greyhound) around me are rescues! I see them in the mountains all the time, poor fuuckers always on a lead and the owner always says the same thing, ex hunting dog, can’t be trusted etc ?
