  1. I know what you mean some don't want to spend the money until they have to. Leave them this year and tell them book earlier next year. Snooze you lose, lol. Sounds like your well set up mate. ?
  2. Yes the garden's are good if you can get enough of them. Horse paddocks are a good earner too?
  3. But they are big money and the season isn't that long. Make hay while the sun shines ?
  4. Thats a good haul! It seems to be a busy year for the moles, long may it continue. I'm sure that you'll get more phone calls in the near future, keep at it!
  5. Top man a good haul well done! Picked up 56 today and 26 yesterday on a farm that was just in a couple of fields. Done 2 other jobs earlier for same farmer and got more to do . Its boiling with them on there, the farm hasn't been done for over 20 years. Had a total so far on his ground of 264 moles and we still have a lot to do and there are stacks of them on parts that they won't bother with, like really rough areas. They want to get on top of them now, so happy days!
  6. Definitely mate, looking forward to it. You won't go wrong with microsensory it's the best on the market hands down. You can't beat the battery life if you have the tag with solar panels. The battery life let's the Marshall gps down badly.
  7. That's it a lot of them plead poverty. But having the moles done is all part of managing the land. They don't want to have it done they have to have it done.
  8. That's why it needs to be set at a higher rate?
  9. Set up one field today and picked up 26 before we left. ?
  10. Well done mate. It's not as easy as a lot of people think. So many factors have to be correct at the right time. Good to see that you have ended the season with the bird still in tact, and looking forward to the next season. Why don't you do a thread next season. It would be good to hear of your exploits!
  11. Yes, and picked up 15 on the same day from a wedding venue ?
  12. Picked up these on a National Trust farm this week.
  13. Thanks mate, the winters are always the same for me it's a constant juggling act. It certainly takes it out of you but we do what we do. Cheers!
  14. The end of his first season 52 kills with 6 weeks off due to injuries. Couldn't be happier with him.
  15. Another from last month. #49
  16. A cracking take a few weeks back. Knocked out of the air from a nice point. #48
  17. Got back early today managed a quickie #47
  18. That's exactly what I was going to say the rat was in the bin trying to get out. I had exactly the same when I accidentally shut a rat in my shed, lol. It looked like someone had been in there with a wood chipper or loosed a beaver in my shed.
  19. Some great flying today in galeforce winds, and another nutrunner in the bag #46
  20. That's the way it goes sometimes, weather wasn't too bad for us today, looks like a different story for the rest of the week though. Setting up another smaller farm tomorrow. I had a couple in talpex today that had backfilled duffus traps.
  21. Just got in, picked up another 78 from the same farm today, that's 207 in 3 days on around 150 acres.
  22. You are in an enviable position Phil, very nice. Your situation comes with time. I am lucky that I have been contacted by a lot of the big farmers in our area as there isn't anyone doing it here on the scale that we are. Word of mouth is an amazing thing in the farming community. Also getting some paddocks etc coming in as the farmers are spreading the word.
