  1. Thats what tracking collars are for. Why do people always think cutting bollocks of will factory re set them and resolve all problems.
  2. Go for it mate you'll enjoy the experience.
  3. I totally agree Don, I learnt about the dogs from a few of the best in our area.?
  4. I would ask the woman that you know for advice and guidance. If she flys goshawks helping you with a male harris will be a breeze, good luck.
  5. You have to tether him otherwise how will you be able to man him? Also he will crash around the unfamiliar aviary and damage his cere and feathers. Please don't take this the wrong way but you sound like you need a mentor. Is there anyone nearby that you can get advice from and that can check on your bird to make sure that all is well?? You really do need someone that can physically help you out with fitting the furniture etc.
  6. Plenty of chases today and ended on a positive note with a nut runner in the bag. #3
  7. Thanks! Yes it's a male.
  8. Your post is confusing. It is either crèche reared or parent reared. Parent reared is usually reared in a seclusion aviary by its parents, crèche reared is reared with its siblings by a human. I don't see the advantages to crèche rearing a Harris hawk as they are so naturally tame and steady. Even wild caught passage Harris's can scream as they are clever enough to understand who provides their food. You are better off leaving a parent reared Harris with its parents until around 17 weeks of age. Then gently get its weight down so it's responsive, then get it entered ASAP. So
  9. Finally got the ball rolling!
  10. There you go taken this evening.
  11. Funny you should ask i have just reclaimed him from the moulting pen. Just had him jumping to the glove with the pointers present, so shouldn't be too long.
  12. Yes thanks it was some day. Hopefully if the weathers right I'll be back out next week.
  13. Had a cracking session yesterday approximately 100 mackerel (half were returned). A nice 4.5 lb'er. I lost a double figure bass trying to lift up the rock face (left my net at home?). Plus a few around the 2lb mark.
  14. To be honest I couldn't be happier. Yes he has the easy going temperament and very pliable feathers of the Harris, with the strength/power and extra grunt of the Redtail.
  15. Yes he seems to have the build/shape of a redtail with the manners of a harris
  16. Thanks Sandy, it was interesting watching the moult as you didn't quite know how he would turn out as he's a hybrid.
  17. Won't be long now just waiting for two primaries on each wing to drop. Looking forward to getting back on it.
  18. Another bag of mackerel, some small pollack about a dozen garfish and nice bass around 2lb this morning. All returned apart from the mackerel.
  19. Ah I was a bit slow there lol. Cheers Joe I was fishing for Gilts and had that one on a crab so not the target species.
  20. I'm not sure I follow ? Thanks J , cheers mate.
  21. Another one today a smidgeon under 5 lb. But on crab this time.
  22. I can vouch for his work. I use the collars that you made me every day and they are of outstanding quality both in workmanship and the leather itself. Excellent value for money. Thanks again!
  23. I'm still looking! Sent the guy on Instagram a message he hasn't replied yet and I can't trace the Russian lad either. You would think there would be more people that could do these repairs around!
  24. That's more than Garmin give if you live outside the US. All they now give you is 90 days warranty, that's on brand new gear.
  25. Looking at the dialling code it looks like its Boston Massachusetts.
