  1. I've said it before but for me Its an easy choice. He breeds what I want and there is more than enough people on here with Hancock dogs that are happy with what they have and plenty of posts to show it. My alternative is to buy from some one I don't know in the hope they don't talk out there arse about what there dogs can do and given the amount of plonkers on this site you will understand my issues with trust when it comes to believing them. This way I know what Im getting and the rest is up to me, simples.
  2. Im paying the same for a silver merel dog. Its a fair price for the dog I wanted, pick him up easter
  3. If you go on the web site and look in the news section it says the black dogs are a bit cheaper due to it being the dominant colour. And if like me you are drawn to the less common colouring then I imagine the black ones are alway the last ones to go. That said if the pups from the litter I wanted one from were all black I would have had a black one.
  4. Could you not wait and find a place where you can keep them? Do you not have a mate who can take them in for a bit?
  5. I used to have a client who has on online meat business supplying some cool meat, everything from springbok to alligator. I have had roo many times, nice as burgers, ostrich is good to. I have eaten all sorts of bush meat in the West Indies from boar to some weird looking rodent a friend caught and curried up in his back yard over a fire. I cant remember what it was called but tasted bloody good. I would give any meat a go but I still think our own wild meat and some of the beef, lamb and pork bred over here is the best In the world.
  6. Picking up new pup easter so he will be taking up a lot of my focus along with some fishing and my other year round love is surfing which takes priority over every thing. Im looking forward to the sea warming up and the sun on my back. Im thinking about getting a kayak to fish from, went out mackerel fishing on a mates last summer and was awesome and added whole new level of fun
  7. Kubla/ Holy, I have always liked the look of the pups sired by Kubla and wanted a 3\4, we have picked out a silver merel. I will put a pic up when we have him home.
  8. I would love to have a crack at it, looks a lot of fun
  9. She's a cracker mate. I will be picking one up from Hancocks myself at easter. Good luck with her
  10. To right it should be banned! There is absolutely no reason to have that sh!t all over the country side. I hope the dog has a speedy recovery!
  11. If I was that far away from home I would take spares, common sense. You must have a really small car though if taking a few extras is going to fill it up
  12. Great stuff! I bet they BBQ up nice! Cracking dog to!
  13. Its all part of the human condition and until we start looking with in rather than out we are never going to get past it and the world will continue to be full of di<kheads. Peace
  14. I cant see what's wrong with this cross and if you can get a good dog with out the stupid price tags then keep at it. That said my mate recently got a springerpoo which he paid £600 for. He does live in Sussex and just like all his yuppy mates that have one he has gone for what is a trend which in its self is harmless but £600 for a bloody mongrel???? Bloody idiots along with any one else paying that sort of money. In fact I don't think any dog regardless of what the breeding is should be more than a few hundred quid unless your buying in one that has already been trained then your paying for
  15. I tried to join months ago even emailed them. Never got back to me to say yay or nay which as far as im concerned make who ever is running it an ignorant tw@t!
  16. If Im honest I never really cared about the crunching (apart from the sound), I've never sold rabbits so wasn't a problem. Could be a bit temperamental and sulky at times but very game and great little dogs
  17. My beddy/whippet was a cruncher he used to completely crush the chest and make a right mess but those were used for ferret and dog food so was fine. The sound always used to send a little shiver down my spine but it was over in seconds.
  18. I thought about that but given I had to wait 4 weeks to get the last one I thought I would try and find a new one here and have now found some one supplying spares over here for cree torches so problem solved. www.lumenjunkies.co.uk for any one in need.
  19. Does anyone have any idea where I might find a replacement lens for my torch? I managed to drop it and smash the glass but have no idea if I can get a new one. Cheers.
  20. Feed mine fresh meat, rabbit, chicken wings, mince and always have a bit of dry food in there and plenty of fresh water to.
  21. Well Im getting a Hancock, should be picking it up the start of April. A few reasons for this are 1, Im keen to have a collie cross and want a 3/4 grey 1/4 colliie. 2, Im the only person I know that hunts so have no contacts to see anyones dogs to make a decision about if I would want a pup if they bred any and I am there fore more confidant buying from someone who I know produces what I want and does the job which brings me on to 3, The posts and input I have read from lads on here who have them and are happy with them is good enough for me.The raw ingredients are there and surly its down to
  22. Get your self a push bike, you will both end up fit as a fiddle
  23. Nice to hear, a bit of good will and faith go a long way. I recently had a lad of here (Pegstaff) very kindly give me 3 ferrets, went out of his way to go and pick the third up from a friend and then come and meet me with them. Only a young lad to, wanted to buy him a few beers for his troubles but he had to get home to walk his dogs. There are plenty of good people out there and its great to read about it.
