Good on you mate, don't listen to all the knocks, some people cant help but be a prick. Maybe those that of you that have so much experience could help the lad out with some positive advice to help him and give him a bit of confidence and extra knowledge instead of knocking him down. Mate Im sure you wouldn't have got an interview if you were not in with a chance of getting the job. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

I had one years ago that was just a pet and he was the same with the rain, hated it. He would only go far enough outside to do his business and that was only after I put my foot under his arse and pushed him out. If I tried to walk him he put his arse down and refused to move, but like I said he was a pet so wasn't a problem.

Im on it but stopped for about a year because I couldn't get on all the forums and what I could get on the posts were once in a blue moon so lost interest . Went back on a few month ago but still the same. Shame as I would of liked to read more. I tried to join collicurs to but cant get on, you have to be recommended by someone and if you don't know any one how you spose to join! Even emailed the bloke but got no reply. Shame because I want to get myself a collie/grey and thought it would be great place for more info.

Not my cup of tea, I prefer a bit of peace and quite but cant see what wrong with them doing what their doing so long as their happy doing it. I think its wrong to assume that they are some where in plain view with antis on the prowl and given there not breaking any laws then who cares, it's a shame were all so paranoid about them but I guess we have good reason. I think its just like most things in life we have our own ways and own opinions on how , not every one likes em and some times its hard to get your head around others. Mind I think I would happily stop and have a cook up for my lunch

I wondered that, its got to be possible Well believe it or not,,, but you can get an app, that is a metal detector,,, just ask vin on here he downloaded one the other week Thats got to be worth a go The App is free on android..but its no good for a ferret finder..its ok for detecting magnetic fields and maybe electric cables etc etc ..but it dont work at any depth more than a few inches. Thats a shame, would have saved a lot of people a lot of money, me included. It makes you wonder with everything that can be done with a phone now would it be possible to develop a powerful e

It might be worth seeing if you can attend the meeting and offer to give a short talk on the damage rabbit do (which im sure they already know) and the service you provide free of charge to help keep them under control and there allotments safe, It might help. It depends on how bothered you are about hanging on to the permission. If it was me I would bend over backwards to keep it just to piss her off! Hope it works out for you mate!

I like the deben 3 but for me the biggest disappointment has to be the price. If you work a few ferrets the price of collars on top is just ridicules. If you could bring one out that was as good but cheaper I think we would be queuing up. As it is we don't really have much choice, even second hand ones are going for stupid money unless your lucky. I will look forward to what you come up with, Good luck!

We hunt a lot different to the americans, we have dogs that will find off the ute and we strive for the dog that will do everything, find the pig by it's nose off the ute, catch the pig, hold it or bail it up until you get there, you stick that one and you're onto the next one... and in saying that I don't know many people that use these mastiff dane wolfhound types Hi Mate, not long moved back over from Oz, was using them as an example of some of the breeding in the pig dogs I have seen over there and it not hard to go on to the internet and find them advertized all over the country. Its a tuff one, don't want to give anyone ammunition to keep giving us a hard time. I guess you just got to take it on the chin. I think these things need checking, for example, there was a photo on here recently of a bloke with his dog and a big arse hare claiming it was pre ban whilst waring a well known branded jacket that was only released a few years back. Anyone such as the police will be looking for such things and in the long run we all suffer, really pissed me off when I saw it! Please don't get me wrong Im not puting you in the same category just pointing out that their the muppet

If you look at places like oz and america they will use a few dogs to do the job, dogs to find em dogs to bail em and dogs to hold em. The holders tend to be heavy mastive/dane/wolfhonds types all sorts of different crosses. Yet the one dog thats got more balls than all of them and will run all day and get stuck in is the much much smaller Jagd Terrier, they heve been used on boar in Europe for years, great little dogs, I would love one!
