  1. Hi mate your bro has a hw30 what gun do you have? of course it goes without saying you've got to get 9/10 pellets in a 1" circle before you start shooting live quarry becasue nobody likes to wound. your hide looks very good but even if you have body camo you got to remeber that your face will stick out like a sore thumb so get a dull coloured hat (olive/brown) and a scrim scarf off ebay (very cheap. what i do is double over the scrim scarf then wrap it around my face until there are 2 corners on the crown of my head then i put the cap on and it holds it in place. then you can part the scarf
  2. c'mon tell us who dont know! give us a clue, just a little one.
  3. excellent shooting mate! have a point.
  4. well done mate! if the woody was still flapping after 10 minutes i would be a bit worried about shot placement. are you going for the head and neck mate?
  5. this happened on my s400. dont worry it'll be fine the barrel springs back to perfectly straight unless you really banged it with a hammer or something.
  6. squirrel, rabbit, pigeon: me' tummy rat, feral: buzzards tummy
  7. so on the rifle in the picture, s200, why does it have that big magazine sticking out of it? is that simply for show? what cam pattern are you going to choose? i would go for grassland or forest green.
  8. glad i could help. include a silicone oil impregnated microfibre cloth, best air rifle cleaning product i've ever bought.
  9. it just looked so dead face down in the grass wings spread, completely motionless.
  10. hi all, the weirdest thing ever happened to me today. there was a pigeon on the ground about 30yrds away from me. i shot it in the neck and it went down straight away wings spread out, in other words a perfect kill. walked up to it and made the stupid mistake of grabbing the tail feathers which i still do every now and again, but usually there dead so it dosent matter if there missing a few tail feathers. of course half of them came out and the pigeon sprang back to life and flew off. what the hell happened? i feel pretty guilty now of wounding an animal. i went back to the point i was sittin
  11. remember that shot placement is a lot more important than power so even if your gun is powereful enough to kill a rabbit at 40 yrds, you need to make sure you cant shoot accuratly enoguh at 40 yrds.
  12. the main advantage of FAC rifles is that the trajectory is much flatter due to higher velociy. having higher power also makes you more confident in long range 50-60 yrd shots which a normal 12ftib airgunner would be slightly worried about because of how wind effects the POI (point of impact) over distance. when taking a long range shot there is a noticable pause betwen the 'THUT' of the gun and the sound of impact. the more time the pellet is treavelling through the air, the more time it has to be effected by wind. because FAC rifles will send pellets travelling at a much higher velocity they
  13. if you had a hw100, you could just drop it on its head to kill it there so heavy
  14. for £4 you can wrap a bit of scrim round your gun which works well in breaking up the shape better than hydro-graphics just like a ghillie suit breaks up your shape better than cammo clothing. but you can cover every bit of your gun without and it gets caught in brambles.
  15. usually mate we say "dont shoot things with underpowered guns as your just likely to wound it and it will die slowly." in this cae its the other way round!!! you will severly tick it off and unless you have a .45 revolver in your back pocket you'll end up a bit of dead meat or up a tree all night with a pissed off pig circling around underneath you. if you think a small boar cant do much damage then your wrong. my dad showed me a video that was taken whilst he was in germany 20 years back. it showed a hunter smiling on a driven boar hunt with his .303 at the ready. a boar erupts from the folia
  16. dose MTC make a sidewheel for my mtc mamba lite? theres a chap in the airgun club i go to who has glued some paper to the outsid of his sidewheel and has written down all the ranges from 10-60yrds in 2 yrd intrevals on his sidewheel. as you can imagine its fairly big. but he says it cheaper and jus as effective as a LRF.
  17. nice hunting jone and good pics!
  18. nice shooting mate! i take it your gun is FAC with such a far zero. Bisley magnums work well and h&N barracuda extra heavy work well to apparently.
  19. no mate. get an fac and a .303 or something like that. i dont know much about FAC
  20. hang on, 14 or over you can use any airgun by yourself but you can travel with one by yourslef?
  21. unless it was a tame fox reared by people thers no way it would go up the stairs. i think someone might be covering child abuse perhaps its very much a conspiracy but its very hard to believe that a fox would walk right past people into a babys bedroom.
  22. nice mate! i would give it a nice subtle camo as it would make a great pest control gun.
  23. that's very risky mate as if the police get hold of your gun there not going to test it with light pellets like AA Fields, they're going to choose the heaviest pellet they can get there hands on and if your 0.1ftlb over the limit you'll have a fine for owning a firearms without a certificate. i would tune it down to something more sensible like 11.5ftlb. i'm not sure why nobody has posted this before but i would turn it down immeadietly before its too late.
