i stand corrected mal, but a head is a far clearer target as you can see it, you cant see the heart of a rabbit and have to be fairly experienced to know where to aim to hit it.
if your shooting moving targets with an airgun you shouldent be aloud to own one. you only ever take shots on live quarry when there sitting still and not moving around to much. if you want to shoot running rabbits get a shotgun. if your quarry is feeding then make it alert with a squeak. if it sits still take the shot, if it runs off then its better than it running off wounded. simples. if your wounding nearly as many as you shoot then that aint good. my wound rate is about 1 in 13 shots and slowly but suely it is decreasing as i get better and wind and range estimation. and when i wound i ca
hi mate. ydeffo take it back, also you say temple are you aiming just behind the eye of the rabbit or at the base of the ear? if your aiming at the forehead there is some quite thick bone here which may cause a ricochet
i saw the ad for these too! they look top notch and i must say the hunter green stcok looks perfct as beech and walnut stocks do stand out quite a bit in my oipinion and this shold be the purfect solotion for people who want a concealing stock but dont like synthetic.
i handeld one at a game fair (stadard stock)and felt very balanced and nice. they are regulated so you get very consistent and lots of shots per charge. i dont see a reason not to buy one.
for best results, dont go for behind the eye. go for the base of the ear. this takes out the rear end of the brain and there is absaloutly no twitching at all, and no jumping around or backfl;ips or anything.
hi rob,
i've got a mora clipper and its a nice knife but i would like to rplace the plasctic sheath with a leather one. what materials do you use t make your sheath (thread, leather ect) and are the brass studs a must or are they decorational?
cheers,
Aaron.
lol im afraid its just not there tony. you have a CZ butt pad on your s200, but because 400/410 stocks series are made by minelli they have different butt pad with no fixings. i think i may have to contact air arms.
you cant go wrong with a hawke scope. within your budget you can get a variable power scope with parallex adjustment and even illuminated reticle. take your pic as there are plenty of great scopes here: www.hawkeoptics.com
well i've had over 30 pigeons so far this year overall and i've lost count of how many squirrels i've had but i've shot hardly any rabbits due to not having a reliable bunny permission. s400 is still as accurate as ever. i've recently built a hide (will put pics up later) a permanent one as it was created by my dad felling 2 trees in such a way that they knocked down another one and fell into a triangle which is a perfect shooting position covering 3 sides with sturdy rests and i have garnished it with plenty of branches. its perfect! it covers 3 sitty areas and i have decided to keep the top
hi all,
does anyone know how to replace your current butt pad with an adjustable butt pad and which one would fit my air amrs as there are many on the market.

the goodside, the 'jedi' of airgun manufactures if you like,: Air Arms, Daystate & Theoben.
the bad guys, the evil ones, the darkside: Weirhauch, BSA, Falcon.

product: tourge wrench with assorted allen keys.
good points: allows you to set different torgue setting so you dont over tighten your scope mounts.
bad points: ? have to contact the scope mount manufacturer first?
hope this helps.
alan has outlined many things you can do but if you still want to paint it then there are many places that will do it for you. hydrographics looks AWESOME!!! but the prices go into 100's. http://www.staffs-synthetic-stocks.co.uk/custom.shtml these guys are slightly cheaper. or you can paint it yourself which is a far cheaper and if done right much more effective. you can go to your permissions and collect the most common leaves and plenty of long grass aand use them as stencils. you can also customize your colours to suit your permission. this guy did a video tutourial and nthis was the end re
i had a similar shot with a woody. if your aiming at the head and you get it through the eye then you will have completely missed the brain. but since the rabbit/woody can't see anything it dosent do anything and is merely stunned until you pick it up and the feeling of touch makes it run off. if you aim for the neck and you miss the spine by mm the same thing can happen except usually the rabbit/ woody sees you first.
id probably go for a really powerful fac gun like a daystate and have it converted to .25 or even .30 (if its possible) and shorten the barrel so it was more manouverable and fix a bayonet to the end. that would be the best airgun in the end of world/zombie appocalypse. id also carry about 10 ready loaded mags.
