    i would go for yours mate all day long.as gamekeepers work there dogs 6-7days a week shooting and havnt got time for feild trials,so they would probably produce the best shooting dogs in my eyes and if your brother is getting a good response from other people that must be a good thing.

    there is a lot of people keep terriers for different types of work.in my eyes any terrier that is there for a job is a working terrier whether it is ratting,bushing or digging but some people dont see it like that.they think they have to be digging but its horses for courses in my eyes.

    i would rather get a couple nowa days.the days of 60-8- a night has long gone for me by the time you get back gut,skin and sell surplus its not worth the hassel.just enough to fill the freezer for a bit of game pie does me.but i still have to travel like everyone else its nice to get the peace and quiet .

    just take it realy slow with her mate as the terrier blood in her could make her yap.i would give it another month or so to tr and get it out of it as it will get flustrated with it been young.

    i wouldnt give up for no woman.my exs mother tried it yrs ago and she was told i had the dogs before i met her daughter so who do you think would go 1st.the only person that will make my quit is me not a slip arse.

    i have the savage hmr mate and what a good tool it is the more i use it the more i love it but it cost me £700 thumbhole laminate stock,stainless steel barrel,silver 3x9x50 scopes and silver sak mad.

    im only looking on here now cos im bored as i havnt been on for a while and thats why i dont miss this site as its getting worse mate.good bit of shooting mate and dog looks well.

    Have erected perches on and inbetween trees for birds to roost in, its worked well so far. Suggest you take a visit to a game farm, you wont see many roosting facilities there. On a personal note I cant stand people who make snap judgements and comments that have no bearing on the original post! Never said I was a keeper (I'm not) and am certainly NOT lazy arsed as I work 60hrs a week and look after our syndicate shoot in my "spare" time. Dont use trees as posts either so keep your negative comments to yourself easy mate danw and lab are secret lovers as we hit a raw nerve when i put a

    very nice mate i built some like that yrs ago but i would put a perspex roof on the pen tops mate so the water wont blow into the entrances of the sheds well done mate.

    she could be trying to protect them and the only way is eat them or if she was near other dogs to see as a threat but if its her 1st litter mate it could be through stress.

    get some oranges and cut them in half.place them face down the slugs cant resist the orange even though the acid in the orange kills them and it works,im a pestie and it works better than slug pellets as i cant use anything because of my dogs.atb

    some people work for a living so after work the dog goes for a walk before a nights lamping then when it gets home it gets fed then a days rest,but looking at some posts on here some people have more time on there hands to get the dogs fit for the season.atb
