That's mainly because Ian doesn't like letting them round the doors mate,as they will probably end up running the streets or just end up in muppets hands as that happens a lot.when he breeds a litter he runs them on for a couple of months then lads up and down the country gets them as they've ordered a pup off him.

Sorry to here about john,but Ian's lines come from Middleton and graham wards lines years ago but I don't no if johns was in there as I've never heard Ian say. Where do you think Graham Wards lines came from? That's why I said it.so where did Garry's line come from the same person.

You've hit the nail on the head mate,if you want it you will pay it at the end of the day it's your money not theres.but Ian bred both dogs which he sold for that money and had the dogs for a good few years before he sold them.so nobody can say he is in it for the money when the dogs were on abit before they go.they also worked and served his own stock when he needed a new pup or 2 to run on.

As said I think its more the peddlars who have paid ridiculous money for workers/jackers & breed from them regardless. Ians dogs are renowned for looks, quite simply some of the pricks that keep this line know the pups will sell regardless whether or not the parents work. I've been told he kept some tidy grafters & his dogs had to work, just a shame he didn't keep them to himself. He always kept them to himself but when you need fresh blood what do you do.like I said Ian still works his dogs even though they have the looks.

You are write there mate.the lad has worked dam hard and travelled for what he has today and selected breeding.it all comes down to jealousy as Ian probably wouldn't line there's dogs as they probably not worth a look at.the lad knows what he wants so theres nothing wrong with that and like ive said I like a looker to.no wonder I don't hardly come on this site as it's getting worse for people slagging other peoples hard work out of jelousy

That's what happens when you pay that kind of money for dogs.as I'm dam sure id want my coin back to if that cost me that much.the worse thing is I bought a pup off Mousey out of Vic for my son,he was a hell of a grafter and it beat Vic 6 times at the shows and only cost me £150.he was a nice steady grafter and a gem to watch on hardly got marked not like my borders which was laid up more times than out as been to hard.

My mates chocolate dogs don't melt under pressure if anything they are a bit to hard for there own good.but its a breed I've never been into but I've judged some nice ones.

Ian has never had chocolate dog.he started with a border dog called buster which he changed the name from butcher.then went into the blackuns then lakeies.

He has sold 2 dogs for £5000 each and if you don't believe me(which I'm not bothered) ask dezzie mackam and Mousey how much they paid for Vic which mousy bought and tyke which dezzie bought.

This country will be soon little India mate so I'm not going to rant but I think they should send them all back.as I don't think they would like me stepping off a plane as they are praying to alla and saying don't do that as I don't like it and and don't believe in god.

Ian's dogs do work ok and yes look nice.like ones of the replys there's nothing wrong with a nice looking working terrier.ive had stuff out of Ian's dogs and no him very well,they are just the same as every others lakelands you get good and bad even though he gets good money for them.

Deerhound/greyhoundxwhippet is a good speedy dog and keep it up at a good distance,but a 1stx might be a fraction better at 1000 yards because of its size and stride.

When me and my dad visited him he had a couple of reduns in and his wife had a old pedigree Lakeland,which frank hated but still took it for a walk with his dogs and it went into a otter up a pipe and was nicely scared up.

He did do what he did but like you say mate different times but the man was very knowledgeable and would of helped you out if he could.but he still shouldn't of done what he did.when me and my dad went to see him in the early 90s him and my dad new everybody and he was good crack.

I've had borders for over 20 yrs mate and see loads born that size and never turn out the average size required,but they still had the heart of a lion but it will never hold up in a stop end and if you get a pushy fox it will be straight over it.just my experience but you are untitled to you oppinion mate.

loada shit. Some small dogs the size of chiuawas (spelling) will work an inch away from fox without getting a mark. And some runts like that turn out big dogs. Ive had one before, made 14inch We will see what happens then seams you no ya stuff then.but I think I no what's coming when its 18mths old and kept in the house in front of the fire.see it loads of times with borders from good stuff to.

I think she might be a bit to small for the digging side mate.why don't you hold onto her and a bigger 1 and just keep her for ratting or a pet home mate.

Jimmy Thompson bred that dog it was off his best dog Timmy what was killed in the bails He probably only has a small percentage of the old blood in him but what old stuff lasts that long without fresh blood but I can assure you this was one of the last Jimmy bred before the lines were gone he keeps Blackuns now Jimmy Ya probably right it will only have a tiny percentage in and it must be a few yr old now mate.i no jimmy only has blackuns in I only live 15mins from him mate and just spoke to him on the phone.yes I no you have to use fresh blood and that's why he has blackuns now as he strug

There's only 1 lad with Jimmy's stuff init and then there is only about 1/8 blood left in her.so for the people saying they have stuff with Jimmy's blood in it I can guarantee you haven't.as jimmy has already told me this as I was telling him about this thread.
