    How good would it be to get those days back Marshman. A pint or two on the way home was always well earned after some hard digging. I was too young for a pint when I started but in those days it was back to the pub and we always had a strongdog on a days hunting and IMO the strongdog had the easy job compared to our little workers but at the end of the day it was he who'd look the worse for wear.     Nice yarn there Marshman. The bit of your dad coming home on Christmas day stinking of drink after a hard dig made me chuckle and remember that that was the way it was. I remember digging to a friends lost bitch on Boxing day in my good clobber. My mate was standing outside the pub waiting on me and nabbed me as I got out of the taxi. Regarding Dandyhow borders ? That's not the first one I've heard to be hard and bad with other dogs and the Dandyhow blood has enhanced many's a line including some black ones.

    Folks, trying to get a lad back his lurcher bitch that was stolen in the early hours of this morning in County Meath, near Drogheda. Two young lads crying for the return of their dog. What's more, knowing the standard you've kept since then Spot must have been some worker or he'd have been long forgotten because you've had more than a few good ones since then.     Cash my arse. That's a big part of the trouble, the scum getting paid to give the dogs back. I'd do a swap alright. I'd would leave several gallons of petrol with them in exchange for my dog back. The petrol wouldn't be in containers though.
