  1. JMHO but working dogs make much better pets than your high maintenance, highly strung lap dogs but be very careful if you do decide to go down the route of keeping a working terrier. It can take over your whole life and become addictive, is that what you want ?
  2. . I enjoyed the whole show and even after a lot of brandy, plus some cider, I can remember it.
  3. I'll try and star in as many Blue Movies as possible over the Summer to get a few pound together to cover the season. I usually only play a small part though. Gone in 60 seconds comes to mind, lol. Get paid twice for that.
  4. That's the one, wish I'd drank more brandy. I'd be able to have an intelligent conversation with Pablo. Drank a lot though,
  5. R.I.P. Longdog, God love him.
  6. LOL, well that was good and honest Tallywacker, fair play. I'm going into a neighbours house now to watch Cheltenham and drink brandy so if I'm still conscious by 9 I'll watch it. IMO programs like that are good PR but I don't like it when they help line a peddlers pocket.
  7. Forget about him. There's a horse running called the Squirrel . I'm told he'll be in the first tree.
  8. There's a horse running today called The Foundation. I was told to put my house on it.
  9. A woman went into a bookies shop this morning, took out her massive breasts and said to the lad behind the counter "I'd like to put these on LONGDOG in the 2.50 @ Cheltenham today please." The lad says "Sorry Ma'am but I can't accept your boobs as a bet." "WHY NOT." she replies, "My husband was in here yesterday and lost his bollocks."
  10. Probably not every ones cup of tea but BBC 2 NI 9 pm Harry Parsons and his Sealyham terriers. Better that Coronation Street or Big Brother I suppose.

  12. The German Sheppard was shown Saturday night it was Channel 4 last night that brought it to everyones attention that the dog was deformed. As for West Highland Whites ? They're already probably the most common breed bred by the puppy farmers but now there'll be 1000s more bred and expect a lot more adds for Whippets too, plus a price rise.
  13. And no ones's pointed out to this newbie that the reason one lamps is because that's when the quarry is out away from it's refuge. Hence the reason for the lamp. Bushing during the day is to get the quarry to leave it's refuge. The only practical use of combining a lamp and terriers is when ratting, or a dig going into the night.
  14. Always the way Columbo. Haven't seen a Woodcock since the season ended but I'm seeing more Snipe and Wigeon than I did during the season. In fact on Friday I probably seen more Snipe than I did all season.
  15. Is that swimming off after being put back or did you spot it hunting ? I didn't think they'd come that close to the surface in daylight ?
  16. Could've been a good thread this one. Pity that some lads associate everything with being a pervert, says a lot about them and their minds. Sad.
  17. Well, that every species of British game covered, both feather and fur, on land, under land and in water, LOL.
  18. You must be doing something right Lee if a man trusts you with one of his workers. A lot of lads if loaned a worker would take joy in breaking it and hand it back to it's owner saying it wasn't up to their standard. I've a lot of acquaintances in this game but the ones I'd trust to loan a terrier too I could count on one hand. Fair play and hopefully you'll repay the kindness somewhere down the line, that's what it should be all about.
  19. Another little girl hooked on horses for life, believe me I know, I have one too.
  20. neil do you know the five lamps I know where they are but I never hung around them, have you .
  21. Do lads really pay that type of money, no wonder the game is f****d You could treble that if you hit the American market. I recently heard of 500 given for a stud. Don't know anything about the dog used but I do know that the owner of the stud dog would keep a cur.
  22. But I agree, less chance of him escaping.
  23. A farmer once said to me "will you shoot it in the hole ?" I said "No, in the head, always in the head."
