  1. he's around the four month mark, 12" ats at the minute, shouldn't be too big.
  2. best of luck with the pup mate, got one here same way bred
  3. just bred a litter , laguna whippet (http://thewhippetarc...4397&sire=44726) over a first cross bedlington x greyhound, should be handy wee dogs
  4. don't think SJ keeps them anymore, could be wrong though. my ones are only youngsters.
  5. just duking in and saying hello mate, seen your post on the wheaten thread, we do a fair bit of hunting in home county

    all the best

    lawrence.

  6. the dam of Dave's pup, i believe she's under 14".
  7. i know what your saying Stig but thought it was the common sense thing to do after reading up it, most advise not adding any more eggs. well Moll, i did buy it on your recommendation
  8. thanks for the feedback, i decided to play it safe and invested in one of the little brinsea mini advance incubators, so the second batch in there now.
  9. much appreciated lads,thanks.
  10. forgive my greeness here only just started keeping a few birds a while ago, i've a light sussex bantam sitting on half a dozen MG bantam eggs, have just been given another half dozen eggs would it be ok to put them in with the previous lot, which have been in for 3 days now ? thanks.
  11. interesting stuff lads , thanks for the replys. it wasn't mentioned to keep them separated, so he was back in the court after a few weeks, time will tell.
  12. had my own hob done a wee while back there, the vet didn't seem a 100% about his work, it was only the second one he'ld done and now both jills look full to the brim, 99% sure its just Phantoms but just out of curiosity, has this happened to anyone?
  13. my bitch broke her leg around the same time as yours and also had a plate put in but the vet says it will have to come out again before she can be worked.reason given was that the plate stops the bone naturally flexing when running and actually creates a stress point above the plate with a strong chance of another break at that point if dog was ran with it in.
  14. cheers lads , i think DM has it right there.
  15. got up this morning to find one of last years jills dead in the court, she was perfectly healthy the previous day. a bit of blood around her back end but other than that could see no wounds, can only think the hob killed her while trying to mate, never had that happen before.
  16. just had mine done a few weeks ago for £60 and as for after care, there is none really, other than keeping an eye on the wound for infection.
  17. cheers lads, i'm considering putting him over a straight half bedlington x greyhound.
  18. Would be interested to hear any feedback from anyone that has used this dog at stud, thanks. http://www.donedeal.co.uk/for-sale/dogs/1111364
  19. been rubbing some warm comfrey paste into her leg when changing dressings, been told its worked wonders by those wiser than me, another name for comfrey was knitbone, so worth a try.
  20. as dougal says mate, you just got stroked, no need to go near a vet and your pup isn't to young to be eating rabbit, i've had litters of pups 4/5 weeks old taking a full carcess down to the bone with no problems. personally i would forget the puppy meal and get it on the barf. i went 10 years without having to go near a vet until the bitch broke her leg there and barring this one i havn't a good thing to say about them.
  21. bitch is doing really well according to the vet, i collect her tomorrow. they plated the leg Tubbs.
