  1. anything from around 11 to 15. on average. depending on the lines. same as other working terriers really. there is a variation in size and shape.

  3. google. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1992/51/contents
  4. oops. no its not. as i changed the first roe antler for the above one . i bought this section at scone palace.
  5. 8 months about 11 inch tts why would you be worried 11 inch at eight months. to me it may be on the small side
  6. my first and only atempt at a stick. a little to short for shooting but handy for walking the dog
  7. have not read this in years . i think i will also give it a whirl
  8. cracking pup that. . there are more like you. plenty of folk think of the welfare of there dogs before money. i sold the odd litter back in the day. but never made anything out of them. ive given away a few also. and have in return have been gifted the odd pup. i'm running a pup on just now that was given to me by a lad that doesnt know me from adam. and i will give this pup the very best chance . due partially to the trust shown in me. and if i ever get the chance the favour will be returned. ( despite nothing being asked of me) i hope you get the offer of a decent pup to run for free or at
  9. not far from me. there has been a drop in the mink numbers.
  10. some where mine. but they are all related to the old parson. barr one that is similarly bred. my point is they are basically the same animal with or without papers. if the breeders take them down the show rd they will be wasted. if they are bred for work they will keep the working qualities.
  11. well i have to say i like to see them after decades of there absence. everything is a pest in the wrong place. be they badgers foxes or deer. i really hope they thrive here like they used to.
  12. fcuked up the post so here are pics lol russell. or parsons.? reg or not.? same in the flesh
  13. it makes me giggle to myself when i see all the nonsense wrote about pedigree's / ancestry. good breeders of any animal will keep some form of tracability of there breeding be it cows cats or flowers ffs. same as anything else in the murky world of working dogs they can be falsified. so the usual pinch of salt is required unless you know the folk and thelines well. there is most definately decent parsons that work fox to ground. some registered and some not. the only difference is the registered ones have a closed genepool. they all have a mixed ancestry. so jack russell. type. parson russ
  14. they where registered as kentafox with the KC. most where deregistered i think. my parson went back to blyths and wards stuff amongst others
  15. never saw them around me for many years. but they have made a comeback over the last decade or so. and have had a few sightings in the lamp and on or near the local rivers. its good to see them as they became almost mythical around here. the mink numbers seam to have dropped i dont know if it is anything to do with the otters. but i much prefare to see the latter
  16. i dont know if any of the above will help. But it helps to know that you are all suffering as well. .
  17. cheers for the replies folks. i was given anti inflammatory after reading the side effects ive decided against taking them i will look into some of the above advice and see how i go i have a heavy manual job so this is a worry for me and i'm to long in the tooth to retraining . and i need this sorted as ive made a new spade to go with my new pup . socks i man up everytime i end up man down. i have to get man up . it dont help when you look up to your loyal wife giggling and your son muttering (dead man walking) when you shuffle past like a half shut knife. so dont mock the aflicted
  18. cant believe peeps would use a choker on a whippet. back to basics in the house / garden using treats and the heel command. and a pocketfull of patience. nothing more annoying. also dont let the dog get its weight behind the collar keep it high under the chin initially they have no strength there.
