  1. i dont need educated you arrogant prick. j darcy born at the age of 50. . there hasnt been a way to catch or kill animals without a degree of pain or stress. to me its about catching or killing your quarry with as little as possible. taking pictures of a trapped fox isnt doing that. and thats my opinion so you can bite my banger sonny boy .i'd stick to your childrens books if i was you. this in in my opinion. and is not meant as a poke at the original poster. to each there own
  2. I would imagine that the animal is stressed for about three minutes after it's caught then it realises that escape is not possible and 'something' is holding its paw. After which they curl up and wait/sleep. Then they probably get agitated upon the trappers approach. In the grand scheme of things that's not much stress IMO. ive seen a fox rip its paw from the jaws of a terrier. there must be a fair amount of pressure in those jaws. and i would think they will be trapped for a fair timespan. of course the fox is stressed. ffs. its interesting to see how things are done all over the globe a
  3. goo little show this.plenty for the kids at the agriculteral show
  4. well ive just finished the second of ten sessions. its crammed full of information and interactive. it is well worth doing something like this. much better than youtube. i should have done this years ago
  5. i had a bridge and didnt get on with it. i went for a nikon d90 and am enjoying owning this camera. i would like a full frame nikon next but will have to wait a while. dont settle for second best. get yourself a canon or nikon entry level DSLR.

  7. crackin pix. although i'm sure you could improve on them with better kit. i would be happy with them. but like you would be happier if they better one of mine
  8. thats a good entry level camera . and it will do everything you want . especially if you added lens to give you a little more distance.

  11. ive found a few cubbing earths with signs of activity but they are in very urban settings. one is in a pile of old junk. one is on a football pitch. and one is in a tight pine wood. my best chance is the dump . fingers crossed. hope you have loads of success bt.
  12. there was a patt x on fb recently. from what ive seen they can be on the big side. i like the sound of them. good luck with it.
  13. the one that sticks in my mind was a few years ago a vixen carried a dead cub in to my street then dropped it at her feet then commenced nudging it around for a good while. then picked it up and walked away. she then came back sat at the same spot without it and let out half a dozen screeches. the whole scene was so odd i never even thought of the camera. a video would have made a better take of this odd behavour. left me with a lump in my throat
  14. this is my best to date. got this last year. my main problem is bad light and the amount of cover. the adult in this pic is a dog fox
  15. look forward to your pics. been trying to get good pics of cubs. failing to date
  16. sorry to here that fireman. RIP. i personally wouldnt enter another terrier in an earth that i lost a dog in unless i new exactly what happened to the dog. although i feel foxdropper may be correct. the nature of the game is to use the terrier carefully and give it every protection possible. i would destroy the earth if it was me. no temptation then. plenty more to go at. again really sorry for ya. looked like a nice sort
