    GAMEDOG. i dont think for one minute they will take over as earthdogs some of them can do this but if i wanted earthdogs i would go to a breed that is bred specifically (spelling)for that task. probably a good strain of russell. most folk that keep terriers keep them as multy taskers. doing a bit of ratting/ferreting. shooting. and bolting the odd fox. a good well bred plummer will do all these tasks and more. edited to add. cracking old type russell that.

    lots of bitches are bred at that age. as long as they are fit and in good health. if you cant breed em older. and your an arseholle if you breed em young. where all up a fcuking gumtree. . if your not sure take advice from your vet. good luck whatever you do.

    So would you favour the plumber over the Jack? they both have there pluses as far as ive seen. the plummers have a better nose but the russells where easier to keep. if i was doing mostly earthwork i would say russell. but as i do more on top now,. the plummer is better for this type of work . i have one plummer i wouldnt swap for any of my old russells. but i cant judge a breed on one dog.

    I dont remember being asked a question.............no i wouldnt....and if i did then thats my mistake......but is it a mistake i deserve the electric chair for like some would wish on the Mccanns ?...............what if i made that mistake and by chance my kid didnt happen to be abducted and killed ?......well i still made the mistake.....a mistake i think a lot of people commenting on this thread are too scared to admit they might make from time to time ( or similar mistakes )....We can all look great parents when things didnt happen to go wrong !     the most intelligent terriers ive owned are................ . in years gone by. the old nodescript jacks. .........in modern times the plummer. this is just an observation from dogs ive seen and worked with. they also where are hyperactive and volatile. gassy little fcukers that are harder to keep kennel than the steadier natured terriers. i can only liken them to collies. if you dont keep them amused they tend to go wrong. they are however very hard to beat as allround pesters multi taskers. if you get one that takes to fox below ground they can really be very handy bolters. and are us

    I can only speak for myself but im not defending the Mcanns mistake................im defending the right to make a mistake without being hung for it. putting tea in the coffee pot is a mistake. what they did i would call negligence.

It is a fact that if they had left their kids alone in this country and gone out on the drink, or even for a short trip to the supermarket.. and the kids had been found "home alone" they'd have been arrested and charged with child neglect, and their children removed from them. I know this. The argument that the child could have been kidnapped whilst the parents were asleep, really does not hold up, this is very different and is unlikely to have happened if they had not left their children alone, unsupervised.     they are an old ladies dog. when i was younger we had a russell that was that small i couldnt enter her in a show as she was under the minimum height limit of nine inches tts. she was regularly stuck fast trying to get to rabbits. she was very lucky not to be killed on more than one occasion. digging in to rabbits they arnt long getting into difficulty.. dog on top and ferret below for rabbits
